My peaceful place for 25 years, the appeal of the beautiful Door is in its wonderful people, its relaxed attitude, and its extraordinary setting. Chef Greg also does a wonderful job on the food. All together, a powerful experience for refreshing the soul.

Hidden away in Twin Oaks Valley, the Golden Door has gorgeous grounds and rooms with a contemporary zen feel. The service is personalized and the staff is always friendly and willing to go above and beyond for you. They have an organic garden, extensive orange and avocado groves, honey from their own bees, 5 star cuisine and spa treatments, as well as fitness, hikes and wellness classes.

Imagine being able to escape from your everyday life and thinking only about oneself! Picture yourself surrounded by beautiful gardens, served delicious carefully planned meals and a staff that goes the extra mile to make your experience special. Every evening you receive a "paper fan" listing your personalized program for the following day. Try something new, explore your inner self or satisfy your curiosity from a large list of classes. How would you feel knowing everyday a massage therapist awaits you in your room or having breakfast served in your suite after an early morning hike!
The atmosphere is relaxed, no stress and no obligation to participate in classes. Maybe you prefer to stroll the grounds where the bamboo grows or embrace a day of pampering. There are so many options and I wanted to experience it all ...archery, a beehive tour, yoga & Pilates, tennis, water aerobics , pampering and the sessions with a personal trainer. So whatever your preference, either tranquility or days filled with diverse activities , keep in mind it's your week to create a heavenly retreat!
