We got dinner here last night the food was okay. I got oxtails and rice there was hair in my food. I know sometimes you can get a hair from the cattle but this was no animal hair. Threw my plate away $20 something down the drain. My husband and kids had goat & rice. They’re food was good no complaints. Also, the cakes were hard like over cooked cornbread texture hard. The cake wasn’t over cooked though it was just old. This place use to be delicious prior to Covid. Customer service could be better Parking: A lot of parking available
Had the oxtail had no seasoning! I get it some ppl have high blood pressure and ect…. Don’t mean leave out the flavor the rice and peas didn’t taste like any thing the cabbage tasted like nothing…… I was very disappointed. I have been to the one on west colonial Drive in their oxtails are the bomb…. This location I don’t think so But two stars cuz it’s edible and I’m hungry
Excellent lunch special! Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant is one of the best in Orlando. They have a good variety of patties as well. Food always taste fresh when we go that’s usually at lunch if your are in the area and want authentic Caribbean food stop by!
They get it right, more often that not but lord it be so wrong sometimes I know never to go at the top of the lunch hour because there is a sense of unfinished when you go early, porridge is quite hit or miss. The steam fish needs work. Stop using forced ripe plantains and for the love of food, at least add a piece of chicken to the stew peas. Pigtail, carrot and peas doesnt cut it brah notice it's the stew peas in my plate, it's not bad, just....blaaahhh
1st visit. We wanted a recommended fish dish. They had sold out. My daugher expressed her disappointment to the point that the chef volunteered to cook us two fish dinners. We had time to share bright moments. What a delicious, , okra, cabbage with peas and rice special dinner. We were served enough to make two dinners. Will definitely go back.
Wanted to experience some local Jamaican flare. Was recommended to this eatery. Attendant took plenty of time explaining to my companion and I, what the items were and what was the special of the day was. We shared several dishes and enjoyed all of them! Very tasty different meal.
I prefer this Golden Krust over the one on colonial. The oxtails are always tender and they’re not stingy with the gravy.
Come for lunch!!! Curry chicken and goat, and stew chicken, with veggies and healthy carbs. 7$ a plate 8 with a drink!
I purchased food for my friend and the same evening he got super sick and had non stop diarrhea and vomiting.
My #1 place to go to. Out of all Jamaica food. I don't eat fried food of course.Food: 5/5
