While we had a very good Labor and Delivery experience with no complications, the billing nightmare that ensued is still not resolved 10 months later! Good Sam doesn't participate with our insurance company anymore, and even though we got the proper paperwork to stay in-network (they told us about this change over halfway through my pregnancy), the hospital still wouldn't honor this and proceeded to bill me $32,000 for an out of network expense! After months of dealing with the insurance and the hospital, both parties refuse to get this matter resolved and Good Sam has been so kind to send our debt to collections! If I had known this was going to be such a nightmare, I would've had a home birth! Never again!!!!

If I could give Good Sam negative stars I would. My last visit was the end of my patience with them. Previous experiences have not been great but I had hoped the ER would be different. I was with my 11 year old daughter who was in extreme pain. They placed us in the hallway even though their were plenty of empty rooms. We were given the opportunity to move into a room only when an emotionally disturbed male patient who they did not know how he would react needed the bathroom. The doctor was absolutely the worst doctor I have ever had the expierence of coming in contact with. He ordered two tests and ignored us. The nurses had to ask repeatedly for us to be seen. We arrived at 8am. Tests were ordered at 11:30am. After several nurses begging him and already telling me the results he graved us with his presence at 2:45pm. He left my daughter in such anxiety she asked me if she was going to die. Two times during his "conversation" with my daughter and I he left to take calls on his cellphone. Patient advocate was not helpful. Just listened. In an effort just get her home because I was convinced they were only hurting her more, I asked for discharge papers. The doctor again tried to speak to me. I explained to him we had nothing more to say. As I was trying to say this his phone rang again and again he answered it, this time telling me to wait for him. After almost 7 hours I was done waiting. His inability to care, as well as his lectures of the purpose on and ER (which apparently we did not meet as my daughter was not crazy!) left me wondering what exactly Good Sam is hoping to accomplish with him on staff. To make matters worse they would not release their records when she was admitted the next day to Westchester Medical for a multi-family stay. If you value your health and/or value your loved ones health please go to a hospital that cares about their patients. Good Sam just cares about money and their doctors just care about only dealing with trama even though they are no where near the top of the list for trama centers in the area.

This hospital does not deserve ONE star, I had to give this hospital a star in order to write this review., I was transported to this hospital in an ambulance (08/2017) remained on gurney in the hallway for 45 minutes before I was seen by a doctor (I had had back surgery at a different hospital and I was in pain when I arrived to this hospital) I was given a chest X-ray and two injections one in each arm for my back pain "ONLY" 3 weeks later I receive a bill for $15,000 I called the hospital, I first said "there is an error in the billing"., Can you send me a breakdown on services., to this day I have NEVER received a breakdown, the hospital sent me a NEW bill for $13,000. Had a procedure in the EP lab and everyone was great. Nurses were top notch. Dr Shukla, Dr Lee and Dr Baez were wonderful! Pre post nurses were so caring. I would recommend this hospital in a heart beat!

I do not recommend this hospital to any physician. They are the most ruthless people I ever met. Staff does not have any respect for providers. .
