I've only been here for lunch, and lunch had been fantastic. The vegan buffet had plenty of options, even omnivores can find plenty of delicious things to eat.   Fill up your plate and head outside to eat and enjoy the weather in the cooler months. They publish a menu online so you can see what the main entree offering is each day. Wednesday and Thursday are all vegan, the rest of the days are vegetarian.

Beautiful place, they also have some live entertainment. The first time I entered, I thought I was in the wrong building. Turns out that there's a gift shop before you actually enter the small buffet area. The food was reasonably priced. Amazingly I ate more of the salad than most of the other food since I was a fan of the salad dressings. I'd definitely recommend it to a vegetarian friend.

We visit Tucson frequently and always make a point of stopping in at Govinda's. Over the course of  7 years we have consistently found the food to be fresh and delicious. I'm vegan and my husband is a healthy omnivore and it satisfies both of us. Recently I had the vegan eggplant casserole. It was fabulous. We always enjoy the hot dishes, salad bar, homemade bread, and lentil crackers. This spot is an oasis in the desert with exotic birds, a giant koi pond, indoor and outdoor patio seating, & a friendly staff. We look forward to our next visit.

Went there for the Wednesday/Thursday  vegan buffet. It was outstanding! The tea was incredible. The roasted curry vegetables were so good and cooked perfectly, I filled up on them and so did my toddler. 

Fresh and clean, greens, sprouts, and veggies and amazing gluten/dairy free dressing taste amazing as well and make you feel good about eating well.

There is even a bed and breakfast (lunch actually :) for overnight stay available and the prices are the best in town. The grounds also have an aviary with exotic birds, a Koi pond with lots of turtles and a gentle small waterfall. I can't wait to go back. It's not a big eatery, but it draws big crowds and treats everyone very well.

My favorite place to eat in Tucson. So affordable, welcoming, food made with care. I love that this is not a business- this is a temple that feeds people and offers nourishment and kindness to everyone who passes through. The aviary and koi ponds feel like a sanctuary. Don't expect traditional Indian food- they prepare many standard US dishes in an Indian style. I love Govinda's.
