I was very nervous about booking my stay here because all the room pictures have the 1970s dark flower covers. They should really update their pictures because the sheets and duvet are all white!!! The place is so cute and is located rite by a lake and have so much to offer. We went snowshoeing and that's complimentary, they also have ice fishing, and a bar to watch sports, not to mention their restaurant is pretty good. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

Remodeling wasn't mentioned when we planned my daughter's wedding dinner and breakfast. Dinner was in a private room, but breakfast was in the lobby. Also, they got the deal with a suite overlooking the lake, but it absolutely was not!! Pretty irritating, because I told them how great it was. Dinner was not our fave. Breakfast was fantastic! Great waitress at breakfast! Inattentive waitress at dinner which, of course, had a gratuity...will not recommend. Except the breakfast...kiss the cook

This Lodge was wonderful.  Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and very well decorated to reflect the area.  Ourbedding was very comfortable and the room heating system was very quiet.  GEL has a very good restaurant and lounge with excellent menu items at reasonable prices. Banquet facility was also well managed.

A beautiful lodge, great people, great food, and fun.  Everyone at the lodge treats us like gold.  We were married there, so it has always been a special home away from home for us.  Our vacation plans changed at the last minute due to an elderly parent that needed care, so we were able to stay only a few days.  But we will be back for Thanksgiving as usual, and also New Year's.  Since Jennifer and I both teach, we  try hard to squeeze in a quick visit as our plans allow at any time during the year.  Yes, it is a 14 hour drive (one way) to get there, but well worth it. Your will not find more quality people than at the Ely Lodge.  Also, love the new remodeling that was in progress.  We would love to have that flooring in our house.

We stayed here for a family weekend dog sledding, and had a great stay! The lodge is very clean throughout, including the common areas, rooms, dining, pool area and workout room. The service from all staff was wonderful. I am impressed and will definitely stay here again.
