I really like what they've done with the place. There's so much to do and learn here. The admissions and financial aid departments are top notch. There's some really great professors here (and some professors I'm shock are still on the GVSU payroll). My only issue would be the lack of diversity.

My son applied for fall 2017 at grand valley. His high school friend with lower GPA then my son got accepted. That is a proof. I will call this horrible and races admission stuff. Shame on you ! God will punish you and you will never succeed! I will spread this grand valley decision all over the internet.This is a cancer and must be fight! Thanks God he got accepted to MSU !!!

Visited the GV campus for a tour. Comparing to some of the other schools, we found Grand Valley to be more updated, clean and organized. We will continue to investigate the school more.

Horrible, I have never been cheated and scammed out of so much money. Constant issues with the faculty and staff, I've tried to bring a number of issues to light but am either given a rude response or told to deal with it. Being a CIS student I've reached out to the department head and was talked down to like I'm incompetent. After I brought up several issues I was told "what constant issues? I have only heard about this one, and I do not see the accuracy of your view". The advisors are not well informed at all and give you incorrect information on a regular basis. Again, when this was brought to the CIS department's attention I was told "I am not sure who has been giving you this erroneous advice". Well, I've been getting it directly from the GVSU advisors. Further, the "dedicated state of the art computer labs" for CIS students are outdated, crammed, and filled with dust (seriously, you can draw in it there is so much). Any project that requires use of the lab equipment takes at least twice as long because the equipment is old, broken, or doesn't function properly. Last semester my group spent hours trying to get these machines running just to complete our project, we eventually went through 4 machines before getting one that worked. The hardware lab is equally as bad; disgusting amounts of dust and more outdated equipment. Parking is a nightmare and very, very expensive. Expect to pay an outrageous amount for a permit that is extremely limited. The lots are poorly plowed in the winter and have sheets of ice all over them. Save yourself the headaches and more importantly the money, just go to school somewhere else.

This place ruined my life, my life is engulfed in debt (around 50k)and I can't find a job greater than $11 an hour. Beware, stay away from this place.
