Great place to stay right off the road. Expect noise if you stay here. Had no problems with bears, just follow the rules they post at the campsites. Lots of sites open at this time, so was not crowded or noisy. There are sites that are first come first serve, they do also take reservations.

Decent but a more expensive campground. Next to the highway so you have some noise. Toilets were clean.

While looking for a campground in lake Tahoe, we were disappointed to learn that there were no campgrounds available. As we started to drive back home we came across this campground. Actually it was not as bad as people are making it out to be. We stayed the night there was a full moon, lots of squirrels? Lol truckee river was beautiful. Will visit again when we go to lake Tahoe. Even though it was a little way off from Tahoe.

Great location. Little noisy but place wasn't busy on 4th of July weekend. Can't beat that. Spots are laid out weird. We were in spot 6 and we were closer to tables in spot 5 than our own. Kind of weird but doable.

To say there is some highway noise is a vast understatement. The highway was 100 feet from my tent. Horrible location. Campsites are on top of each other.
