This is our 1st season at Granite Hill as seasonal campers and we love it!  It is beautiful, peaceful and perfectly located near Gettysburg.  Everyone is friendly and the grounds are well maintained.  The Red Shed cafe has wonderful food and they have beer and wine available for sale.  We do not have children but they offer a lot of weekend themed activities for young and older.  They have a swimming pool, tennis courts, baseball fields and more.  They are also pet friendly with a dog park and dog walk areas.  I highly recommend Granite Hill.

Stayed there last week and was extremely happy with the experience.  We called ahead for an early check in, so they moved us from our original spot to pull through and we were able to get setup 3 hours earlier than we expected.  The site was completely shaded and not too close to any other campers. Only a short drive to town and the battlefield, so it was very convenient for our stay. Furthermore, you can beat the rates! Will definitely stay there again the next time I'm in the area.

My favorite camp site! Granite Hill is awesome.  They offer all types of sites on well manicured grounds. Here you can camp, fish, hike and even swim at a spacious pool. They offer an impresive selection of better food than any fast food joint as well as local wines & beer at their on site Red Shed Cafe. This means you really don't have to go in town unless it's for site seeing  (this is historic Gettysburg after all). The staff was always nice and helpful. ..there was even a greeter at the entrance to help guide navigate.  Seriously,  these guys know what they are doing. I would say this is THE  BEST way to experience and explore Gettysburg.  Oh...two final notes...you will get to see plenty of local wildlife AND they have a classic -old school-metal playground for kids. I highly recommend giving the retro pump swings a try. At 42 years o' age they brought back memories  and were a blast. You want your kids to get of the screens and let them see what it was like before the wimpy liberal beuracracy  to over then GO HERE!!!! Oh...finally they have the most adorable cats roaming the grounds especially at the cafe so make sure you give them some love and drop a few scraps.  They LOVE bacon fat and pancakes...but hey...who doesn't?
