I promise to not let my negative emotions affect the credibility of this post, but I was in this store a few days go. There was a problem running my debit card; the problem was a duplicate transaction. I told the clerk that that means the transaction went through and went as far as to show him that the amount was taken from my account via online banking. He was not having that and made me run a different card and since it was a different card, the duplicate transaction went away and I was issued a receipt. After calling my bank to verify that I had been charged multiple times, the clerk called his manager who told me to dispute it with my bank. Now.. I am no business man, but I know that this is not a great way to run a business. You are much better off keeping the customer happy for that little of an amount because return business is worth more than that single (double) transaction. So I hope you enjoy that extra $5.89. You are going to need it if you keep up with business practices like that.
