Most definitely use the Collierville location even if it’s not the most convenient! Went in to order a cake and requested a particular color of icing. They said they don’t have that color. I asked if they could mix colors and make it. I was told no. I left and called the Collierville location and without hesitation they said they could mix colors and charge a $5 mixing fee which I was happy to pay. Germantown location needs to get it together!
My grandmother ordered a cookie cake for a birthday party on July 8th around 4pm and was supposed to be ready at 5 on July 9th. She paid for it over the phone and it was $44. I went to the location the next dayJuly 9th and I said I have a pickup for a cookie cake at 5. She picked up the ticket and said they have not made the cake, yet we ordered it july 8th so that is plenty of time to make it. I went in there at 5:45 and asked for the cake and the lady acted oblivious as to when the cake was supposed to be picked up. I asked for a refund and she only gave me $41 even when the card we used was charged $44. Never going back here again, service sucks. I needed a cookie cake for my birthday party and ended up having to rush somewhere else to get one. The employees need to be aware of online and call-in orders. This location was awful and I will never go here ever again.
Im so mad! I should have listened to the other reviews. Each cookie I ordered was stale and hard! It’s a nice looking store but the cookies were straight up trash . I’ll definitely drive to the Collierville location next time.
I ordered a cookie cake for my daughter 9th birthday. I wanted the Halloween cat which shown in photo. But I got something totally different which is shown in picture.. and the cookie had a weird taste to it as well.. At least they got the colors right. Even have a picture giving the specific style and was written on order paper If someone would have called that they couldn't do the design, I would have been understandable and changed it to simple balloons. For the price I paid for first time buying a cookie cake, I wouldn't do it again.
Shouldve took heed to all the other low reviews. No customers in the shop but they only had a few cookies ready. You all opened 2hrs ago, where's the cookies??
The employees don't wear mask or gloves when handling the food. I saw an employee touching the cookies with her fingers to see if they were ready when taking them out the oven.
If you like cookie cakes then you will love great American Cookie. They can hook you up with a custom cake with a 2 hour lead. Also, they are big. My family of 7 got to enjoy it for 2 nights in a row. I would have given 5 stars but the cake was just a tad more cooked than I prefer but it was tasty none the less!
I picked up my 40 dollar cookie cake yesterday for my son’s 10th birthday party. I ordered the balloon cake that feeds 18-22 the night before. I was shown the cake which did not have any balloons on it nor the chocolate frosting that was requested as well. I asked about this and was told that their slip did not say balloons but only the special instructions of my son’s name. Which I then showed my confirmation email showing exactly what I ordered. I then asked why there was not any chocolate frosting as well as vanilla and was then told they were out of the chocolate frosting. As I had already paid for this cake, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told he was not there but may be back in 20 minutes or so. I asked if I could have his business card to call or email and was told that they can’t give any of that information out and would not even give me his name. They worker told me there is nothing she could do for me. I then went outside for five minutes and came back in to find the manager. I was then given a discount but not the full discount as I even added a tip on my card the day before. I suggested that he notify the other clients of the cookie cakes that were currently being decorated when I was in the store of the missing frosting but shrugged it away. Cookie cakes are my son’s favorite for his birthday parties and I will never use this location ever again. I will be happy to drive the extra miles to go to the Great American Cookie Co. in Collierville.
Seriously the worst place I’ve ever worked. Was hired Monday got let go today 4 days total via TEXT MESSAGE!!! Trial period or not you don’t fire someone over text They had the balls to tell me that they hired someone with more experience on everything. Then the owner wanted to tell me that since I worked for another GAC for almost 4 years that my skills should’ve been better. Like seriously?!!? I did hundreds of cookie cakes and decorated plenty of cookies in my time there and my designs were good. I was one of the best decorators. If you want to see me cakes to see what I’m talking about find me on Facebook and I’ll show you some. Could not reach a lot of the stuff I would need to use and no step ladder anywhere for me to use. Was laughed at when I said I was breastfeeding and needed to pump every so often. Plus I wasn’t given a place to pump at. Had to find a place myself and where I was able to pump I was at risk of being embarrassed with people walking in and out. The icing bags were horrible to decorate with. Like if they were empty they were so stiff they could stand by themselves. So disgusting. I wasn’t given much of a chance to do much of anything, when I did I was made to feel like I didn’t know what I was doing. The ice cream part I was picking up slowly. What do you expect? I was only there 4 days! I wasn’t given a fair chance AT ALL! But to insult my skills the way he did and the way I was let go... I’ve never been so insulted in my life. WILL NEVER HAVE ANY PRODUCT FROM THERE AGAIN!!!! BTW... to the customers that do go in there... a lot of the product they have out on shelves, they let it get hard and still sell it. The brownies that were out was the same ones all 4 days I was there. They were not edible.
The location on Germantown specifically sells stale food, ie the cookies. I bought two frosted cookies and they were hard along with the icing and even the dough that they used looked pale/old/stale. The collierville location is much cleaner and has fresher food, it’s worth the extra mile.
