I have not been this unhappy with my haircut in 5 years. I normally have a fade with a pompadour. The woman who cut my hair shaved off the hair on my side that I used for my fade. I specifically stated that I wanted to keep my fade. I walked into the store with a light fade. I never indicated that I wanted my fade shaved. She removed the fade I've had for 4 years. I will find a capable barber in the future who will not shave my fade and I will never come here again.

I go here just about every month for a cut. I always ask for Hamid, the store manager who has similar hair to mine. I've been to other barbershops and great clips in the area and they are either super rude, or give really rushed cuts. My hair and cuts are pretty straightforward, but I do appreciate the extra detail that Hamid puts into them, even when they're busy. For the price you can't beat it - I'm not a UCI student, so if you get a discount, that's a steal. 

I've never encountered a single person who was rude to me on the phone or in person. Everyone has been friendly and the employees seem happy to be there.

Good haircut, only negative was had to wait for 25 mins so pays to book in advance online. Also man serving seemed a bit stressed, could try being more polite and pleasant. Otherwise a really good place to get a haircut.

I was in Irvine California from June to August doing an internship with NASA. I had been growing my hair for 2.5 years and decided on my last day of the internship that I wanted to donate my hair for someone with cancer. I've done it three times before in my life and knew Great Clips supports that cause. I went to this facility and my hairstylist, Patricia, told me my ponytail was only "7.5 inches" and that my hair needed to be 12 inches to donate it and get a free haircut. I told her I thought it was 12 inches, but that I would take the ponytail with me and see if I could donate it elsewhere. Patricia charged me full price and refused to accept a coupon I had. When I flew back to my hometown in Chicago the next day, I measured my ponytail and was heartbroken to find that it was indeed 12 inches and that she lied to me. I called this facility over 5 times and spoke to two different managers. By the fifth time, the best they offered me was that someone in California could come and pick up $16, fully knowing that I was already back in Chicago and had no way of doing that. By the end of the haircut situation and me paying out of pocket to mail my ponytail to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, I lost a total of $23 for a haircut and great cause that should have only cost me a tip for the hairstylist. If I could rate this facility zero stars, I definitely would.

Great haircut. Check-in time said 16 minutes but got in right away. Patricia did an awesome job and gave great options of what she could do while she was cutting my hair. Great experience. Will definitely go back.
