I'm giving Great Wok 3 stars because.... 5 Stars means Excellent and 1 Star means Terrible - so 3 Stars should mean 'Average'. There is nothing inside Great Wok that is Excellent and nothing inside that is Terrible. Great Wok is - Average. The food isn't the best Chinese food I've ever had, and of course it's not the worst. I ordered the Madarin Chicken. It was definately skinless and boneless white meat - which is good. The smaller end pieces of chicken was overcooked - hard, dry, brittle and inedible. Other than paying for some food I couldn't eat, the rest of the food was pretty good The service is lacking also, but not the worst I've ever had. The prices are average to high. The prices are not the highest I've experienced and they aren't the lowest. Everything about Great Wok is average - including my Great Wok rating! 3 Stars.

Great portions, solid food and surprisingly friendly staff. I drove past another Chinese place to go here.

The people here at great folks and the food is always very tasty. The crab rangoon is a must have.

Great wok is located in the Gentilly neighborhood near the Lake Ponchutrain and, it's Really a safe location which is a Bedroom community. The food is not top rate nor is the environment if you are looking for a place withl top rate this is not the place, But the food is satisfactory.
