CrossFit is all about:

1. Community: CrossFit is about building a community of people who support each
other. We understand that everyone has their own individual goals, and we cheer one another on to reach them. We know that success is built upon relationships.
2. Functional Movement: CrossFit is designed to help with basic everyday movement. We
only have one body, and we need to know how to use it properly and how to live a long and healthy life.
3. Variety: Workouts are designed to be different almost every time our members show up at the gym. It’s never boring, and we constantly work to improve our form and fitness.
4. Measurable: We design benchmarks to measure our growth along the way. This
ensures that each person is making progress to meet his/her goals.

GLC is one of the purest forms of a grassroots CF box that values hard work and community. Anthony and Stacey are fantastic owners and coaches who always put members first. You are guaranteed to get a great workout here while also being held to incredibly high standard for form and effort. No matter where you are in fitness, GLC is a gym that will constantly challenge you and provide impeccable coaching that is well worth the money!

I truly LOVE being part of Greater Lansing Crossfit (GLC). Though I've worked out on my own and even gone to a previous cross fit class, I've gotten stronger and fitter at GLC. I've hit a number of personal records when it comes to Olympic lifting. I could never do a handstand when I first arrived, and three months later I was able to do handstand push-ups. While I could do strict pull-ups, I can now do kipping pull-ups. My strength and fitness level have increased exponentially. Love GLC!!!!

I have been going to Greater Lansing Crossfit(GLC) for over 10 months now and I absolutely love it. I was never a gym person but GLC has completely reversed that. Now, I actually look forward to going there and enjoy working out. GLC has some amazing coaches in Anthony, Stacey, Alex, Katie, Jason and Dylan. Apart from being excellent trainers, they are very friendly and approachable. While they have always encouraged and pushed me to do my best, they have also been appreciative of my efforts at each stage and provided me with personal attention, when required. Combine this with the fantastic environment and community that we have at GLC, results are sure to follow. At least, in my case, they did. Today, I am able to go through with complex lifting techniques and WODs, that I couldn't have dreamt of a year ago. In fact, even in simple daily activities, I can feel the improvement in my fitness levels. GLC is not just about the gymming, it's a holistic experience, that I would definitely recommend for all!!!

Love being a part of this place! CrossFit was more of a curiosity when I first joined Greater Lansing CrossFit (GLC), but now, it is a part of my weekly schedule that I keep looking forward to. Who knew workouts that look so hard could be so much fun! Right from the introductory session with Coach Anthony where he patiently inquired about my personal fitness goals, my current diet and work schedule and introduced me to a scaled-down version of a CrossFit workout, training at GLC has been a fulfilling experience. CrossFit itself is a lot of fun when done right. With its combination of intense but fun HIIT-inspired cardio workouts and pure Olympic-style weightlifting training, CrossFit has vastly improved my overall fitness, work capacity and strength levels and as Anthony mentioned in the very first day, all of which I can measure quantitatively, be it knocking out new lifting PRs, getting a ton more reps on the benchmarks WODs (Workouts of the Day, for the uninitiated) or running a way faster 5K. However, more than just CrossFit, I love this place because of the people. GLC is a wonderful community with people from all walks of life coming together to better themselves each day while motivating and being motivated by others along the way. The coaches are awesome in that they are all fun people and provide personal attention to every gym member's fitness needs and progress. CrossFit workouts can be intense and technically challenging (mostly the lifting parts), but the coaches' minute attention to proper form and technique on every move before scaling up has made sure I have not had any injuries in the almost 10 months of CrossFit training at GLC, while I have seen my strength and endurance grow significantly. The gym is well-suited to newcomers and pros alike. I was a newbie to CrossFit or any kind of gymming for that matter when I joined GLC. I have since done group workouts here with people who have been in the regional CrossFit games and such, but never felt intimidated, rather often inspired thanks to the coaching style and the welcoming community at GLC. CrossFit challenges you every day to get better than you were the previous and with the nurturing provided by the coaches and community at GLC, the journey keeps getting better and better everyday. Definitely recommended! A shout-out to the wonderful coaching staff including Alex, Katie, Dylan, Jason, Justin, Stacey and of course, Anthony! Keep up the great work all!

my pursuit of fitness took me to Greater Lansing Crossfit but it was the community and atmosphere that made me stay. Coaches Anthony and Stacey are great. They pay attention to each and every athlete and their different levels and styles of learning. They ensure that you have proper form and technique every single time. Warm up and cool down after every WOD helps prevent common sports related injuries. While I started to see consistent improvement in my lifts and overall athletic performance, I also started to look forward to go to gym to meet friends. We sweat and hurt together. We cheer for each other to finish a particularly brutal WOD. GLC has really helped preparing my body and mind not only for known but also for the unknown. I will highly recommend GLC to you if you are serious about making remarkable improvements to your health and physical fitness as well as want to make some real good friends for a long time.
