Story

Dr. McCain is a native of Mississippi. He did his undergraduate work at University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He completed his DVM at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Mississippi State University. In 2004, he moved to Southaven with his wife and daughter and purchased Greenbrook Animal Hospital. He changed the name to Greenbrook Companion Animal Hospital to emphasize his belief that our pets are not just animals, but members of our families. After purchasing the clinic, he also updated the equipment and facilities in order to ensure that all of his clients receive the best available veterinary care.

I truly appreciate what Greenbrook does.  We travel for work quite a bit, and the Memphis area is essentially the center of our map.  That makes Greenbrook convenient for us.  But beyond convenience, Dr. McCain is a compassionate, caring, and kind veterinarian that clearly has a passion for his work.  He treats our cat gently and kindly, and always seems to know exactly what to do to help an animal feel good.  I would highly recommend Greenbrook and Dr. Tom McCain.

Dr McCain is very rude, he tried the same unsuccessful treatment on my dog several visits an charged me a healthy amount. When I explained I really care about my dog but can't afford a 500 dollar surgery (especially not trusting it would be a success since he was wrong several times before). He then got frustrated n we had words. Worst, most unprofessionally vet visits I've ever had. Highly do not recommend this man.

First let me start by saying this is by far the CLEANEST clinic/hospital I have ever stepped foot in. The first people Mollie and i see are the staff, who i must say are absolutely AMAZING! We have always been greeted with a smile and they have always treated us like family. We could not ask for a better Doctor. Dr. McCain is truly a WONDERFUL doctor. He has always been patient, and taken the time to explain to me any questions or concerns I have had.
