Waiting areas and bus staff are good but need to maintain cleanliness in washrooms specially they need to maintain day night staff for cleaning because people leaves more and more dirt if no tissue water outlet not working. there is public rest areas better than this bus stop. Even if bus breakdown happens on road they took 2 hour for call another bus within 30min distance from Washington.
For a multi-million dollar company, they should be ASHAMED of themselves! It was worse than a NYC subway station in the early 90s late 80s. Not clean at all. No one at kiosk. Smells of urine. Scary creepy bathrooms, no soap or sanitizer. The men's was even worse there were people in there so I couldn't even record. They are the high end rip off of Bus Companies! Absolutely no one to be in contact with except overseas customer service or an email BOT. THE DOT NEEDA TO FINE THIS COMPANY IMMEDIATELY!
Worst experience ever busses unclean and missing pieces the bathrooms are totally disgusting on top of my trip being delayed more than 4 hrs along with many others traveling the same way site says any trip that is over 120 mins is entitled to a full refund of the trip price but I’ve yet to hear back from the company on site customer service unfortunately does not know all the police’s and procedures and does not announce delays within a reasonable timeframe horrible trip I rather pay extra to drive myself or fly next time but I definitely am waiting for my trip to be refunded
Never in a 30-year of my life traveling I'll ever experienced this I am highly upset rude disrespectful and lack of communication in ghetto service eating while talking with a big styrofoam Pate of food redirecting people to go inside for them to miss they bus no accountability
I have been to a few Greyhound bus stations, and I have to say, the one in Richmond, Virginia, has got to be the most disgusting, fowl, and nastiest ever. The floors are dirty with roaches on them. The restrooms are dark and rank, plus most of the toilets or urinals don't work. There is no sense of direction when you do find someone to ask a question. That's just I side. The outside looks like an abandoned building with no up keep, lawn maintenance, or anything. People sleeping on the sidewalks all around the building. It looks more like a homeless camp than anything, but you can't really say that because the homeless would take better care of the place. Greyhound, I don't know what's going on, but someone needs to help this facility out.
First of all, I paid for and got my ticket for a trip from Richmond,VA to Cleveland, Ohio, but right from the beginning the bus was late arriving at the station at 4:20 pm instead of 3:00 pm and that made a few of us miss our connecting bus in Baltimore, Maryland. Second of all, in Baltimore, we all unloaded, then a bus driver came in and made an announcement that was hard for us all to hear, so we all waited for the driver to scan our tickets so we could board the bus. Then, the driver scanned all of our tickets, and never informed any of us that we were not getting on the right bus. At a point, a few customers had a dispute about the people that were in their seats, and the bus driver scanned everyone's ticket again, and just seated the few people left to the back of the bus, still failing to inform anyone that they were on the wrong bus! And that they had to wait for their next connecting bus going to PA or further. So as a result, I and a few other people were highly upset! Then we were driven all the way to downtown New York, and stranded, trying to call customer service, and being rudely told by the women in the booth to call customer service, or buy another ticket to get to our destinations. I didn't want to buy anymore tickets, couldn't find a way to get to Cleveland, OH, And my husband was so heated, that he had to drive all the way from Cleveland to New York to come and get me. I have ridden on Greyhound busses before, but Never experienced anything like this!! I feel like I need a full refund for the second leg of my trip, from Baltimore to Cleveland, for the driver being late leaving Richmond, VA and making me miss my connecting bus in Baltimore, MA. Worst experience ever!! And people should be informed through an alert on the app that you're going to miss your connecting bus, or that the first bus of you trip will be arriving late, so you may miss the connecting bus. And the driver was already upset when he arrived in Richmond Greyhound station, then he said he had to do a re-boarding process, before the rest of us could get on the bus. So he proceeded to scan everyone's tickets... Blindly!! I was to leave Richmond at 3pm Sunday, but didn't leave til 4:20pm.. and after all the drama in Baltimore, I ended up in downtown New York City, too far away from Baltimore, to go back, without purchasing a new ticket. And to be in a city I'm not familiar with, not knowing where to take a taxi to, and the subway wouldn't help me, inconveniencing my husband, to leave work at 1130 pm, and drive All the way to downtown New York City, over 400 to 500 miles and didn't arrive til 830am. We had to get a hotel room so my husband and I could rest after All his driving, and all my waiting, just so he could drive us Back to Cleveland. After this experience, I don't want to ride a Greyhound Bus ever again! ABSOLUTELY NOOO REFUNDS!! Just vouchers for later trips... But what if you don't want to travel Greyhound again?? What if you Really need your money back?? And I will inform everyone I know about what a bad experience I had with Greyhound!! And pictured, is the bus I was on, after arriving in the New York City Greyhound station.
This place is absolutely disgusting. None of the outlets can hold a normal charger block, half of them look like they'll electrocute you, the bathrooms smell absolutely horrible as if someone had smeared poop on everything in the room, and the busses don't even show up half the time then they make you wait for hours in order to get a new bus. There's a security desk but I've only seen the guy once for maybe 10 minutes, there's spider webs all over the walls, the ground is stuck, there's flies everywhere, and the vending machines are poorly stocked. This place really needs to be shut down
Older building, no upgrades on years. Women's bathroom was inoperable. Walked to Starbucks. Would be nice if they moved to 1500 East Main Street near train station. More convenient to downtown if tourist.
Reeks of urine - felt unsafe the entire time was there - tweekers and schizos coming in and out the whole time and robbing anything left unattended. I am void of words to describe the toilet. To top it off - lost my seat I paid $15 extra for and driver refused to do anything about it - refusing to uphold principle will cause the system to collapse - not everyone naturally carries the respect to others - so this needs to be enforced by authority - when they themselves have no respect for principle it becomes a hopeless cause. This place is essentially the epitome of what inner city culture has become.
This place is absolutely terrible. I took the bus down from New York since the prices were a fraction of the price of a plane ticket. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting and smelled like a petting zoo, but after a 7 hour bus ride, I had to go so bad, I couldn’t bear to hold it any longer. My bus arrived 3am and while I’d have rather waited under the shelter of a building, it was so bad I didn’t want to stay inside. There were people running around with no shoes, digging through the trash cans. It’s basically a homeless shelter. I just didn’t feel safe. This building needs to be condemned.
