Grimes recently rebuilt and reupholstered 2 chairs and an ottoman for me. Grimes has the largest selection of textiles I have ever seen. If you can't find something you like at Grimes, it must not exist. Grimes is not inexpensive. As a matter of fact, it may seem pricey. But my furniture is perfectly - and I mean perfectly remade. The materials and craftsmanship are fabulous. In pure Pittsburgh style, the Grimes' people are nice, open, and down to earth people. They are, and their company is - a local treasure.

We used Grimes to repair and refinish a pedestal table that was over 60 years old. They did a fantastic job and it is just so beautiful! They picked it up and returned it without us worrying about damaging it. They couldn’t be more professional or kind. They treated the furniture like it was their own. It is now a wonderful “gem” in my living room that reminds me of my parents and childhood. Truly recommend Grimes!

Dwayne and Tamara were very helpful with reupholstering our antique sofa and chair. They were very knowledgeable with fabric choice and the pieces were finished on time. Very professional and friendly company, we would definitely go back for any other work we would need. The sofa and chair are beautifully finished to perfection. We are more than satisfied with their workmanship.

"A Cut Above the Rest!" A dining room chair from the 1960's needed to be re-caned. Excellent work, fair price. An office chair from the 1950's also needed repair work. The chair is like new. Expert work on an older chair, fair price. You'll love working with Dwayne Grimes, he has "the chops" with repair, and he's a nice, honest guy to boot. I highly recommend his work, and I won't bother with anyone else in town, I'll go straight to Grimes Interiors & Furniture Repair. Very professional, nice people, and your furniture won't get butchered.

Grimes Interiors did an exceptional job refurbishing my antique furniture items into quality family heirlooms. I had a china closet and small table/cabinet that were handed down through my mom's family. Turns out, both were originally something else, as Grimes pointed out. The china closet was crafted out of a different piece of furniture and the table/cabinet was actually an old wash table. Pretty neat to learn the history just by having someone take a quick look. Both were in pretty rough shape after many moves throughout the years. Add in the pieces being around 100-plus years old and all the wear and tear associated with that. Grimes restored both to immaculate, functional pieces. I can't wait to pass these down through my family. I highly recommend Grimes Interiors. They have a real passion for their work and no shortcuts are taken. It's quality craftsmanship. I feel a great sense of pride in having these items restored to their glory and will continue to remain part of my family's story.
