This is a nice place for a for a dinner with friends. Wifie and I enjoyed the experience.. the service was spot on. The food was good and the conversation was really good. I had the chicken Cordon Bleu with sweet potato fries which was really yummy. Wifie had the stir fry which she really enjoyed. We both had salads as one of our sides. This place is worth a visit again.
It seems as if experiences are different each time. Sometimes service is exceptional and other times mediocre. This time service was great but the sandwich was not that great. It was the Prime Rib Dip. The meat was very tough.
I stopped to get take out to bring to work. When I got to work, all of the juice from the Pot Roast I had order was in the bottom of my bag. My garlic bread was a soggy mess from being in the container with the pot roast and even the napkin in my utensils package was soaked with juice. Plz try to find better packaging for menu items that have excess juice so patrons can enjoy their meal wherever they are. The food besides the bread was good tho.
Fun atmosphere! Really good food. Had fried green tomatoes and the potato soup was the best I've ever had. The chicken n noodles were comfortably good and homemade mashed. My sister was happy with her salmon salad, nice size and the Philly sandwich looked great. Our waiter Jon was very attentive.
We had a large family party with a call ahead through a manager at another chain restaurant just down the road. When we arrived to this “other said restaurant” after they had told us 30 minutes before that they would do their best to accommodate and be ready for our arrival, they then told us our wait time would be 1.5-2 hours! They never even called us with the sudden change on their end. We called Grindstones. The manager told us to come right over and that they would have a table ready for us when we got there and they did! A very courteous hostess took us right back and immediately we had two attentive servers taking care of me and my families needs. Great customer service from start to finish! Food was also delicious! This was a nice way to end the family gathering we had. It could of ended on a frustrating moment for us, but Grindstones saved the day!
Hostess was Right there at door when we walk in , wife used a cane and left arm was in sling . Table was more then expected to be and over Perfect for 8 yr anniversary and drove 2 hours to get to this Grindstone restaurant . I Cried and was Proud of way our table looks when I saw all special touch I asked for advanced and didn't really expect To over perfect !! Understand or overheard hostess took 6 hours getting things Perfect for Us and special touch All staff did for me and wife ! Food was Great and sever was Best & professional I seen in long while in so any places we ate ate before in 7 months . Grindstone restaurant staff made Our Anniversary So Great and memories I Never Will Forget . Recommend this Restaurant 100 o/o. To anyone , wanted thee Best Restaurants and Service and Meals !!
We generally go here every Sunday after church. We allow my 7 yr old niece to choose where we eat and she almost always wants to eat at 'That Place', meaning Grindstone Charlie's. The service is always great there. Everyone treats Mt great niece like she is a princess, going so far as to go through the 'mixed fruit' and picking out the grapes until she gets a serving of only grapes. Service is always friendly and prompt.
We had a surprise birthday party for my Mom, who turned 90. The staff wer an wonderful! They were so friendly and helpful. Our waiter, Jon was very patient with all 10 elderly people, and he had a great personality throughout the lunch.
Great food. Love the French Onion soup! Our party of 5 were all impressed with our different meals. We went on a Saturday night. Our server, Natalie was the best! Highly recommended.
Liv & Brooke are my fiance & I's FAVORITE servers. We usually go every single week and always have AMAZING service and great food at a reasonable price. More people need to be dining there. They also have outdoor patio seating! Highly recommend the catfish, the tenderloin and their sweet potato fries
