For the last 20 years, my wife and I have only driven lease vehicles that needed only oil changes and the occasional warranty work at the dealer. Several weeks ago I acquired a 2000 Rolls Royce. The service and check engine lights came on, so I asked for mechanic recommendations in Grosse Pointe and my friends all suggested Grosse Pointe Auto Repair. Rick was very friendly and professional, and he happens to have a background in servicing British cars. He agreed to speak with the selling dealer's mechanic and run a full scan of the Rolls to get a complete picture of potential issues. Rick had the car fixed and ready for pick-up in 24 hours. It runs smoothly and I'm extremely pleased, all for less than half what the RR dealer's estimated charge. I'm thrilled to have a place I can trust to take my new baby. I highly recommend Rick and GP Auto Repair! - Jay

Great place. We pulled in with our van leaking transmission fluid after a big trip and they found the issue quickly. Good guys. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks

I apologize for giving them so many stars but they were as close to perfect as could be. I brought a car in sounding like it was falling apart after being run into the ground by teenagers. Rick looked at me like I was a new boat. I was expecting at best to get a diagnosis by closing at three pm on Saturday, instead at 1PM I got great news that instead of a transmission it was a broken bolt for motor mounts. Then a little before closing, I got the news that I could pick up the car and the cost was so reasonable. So they got five stars for Honesty, Competence, Efficiency, Communication, an

Dwayne is a straight shooter and has never let me down. I recommend these guys for sure. My suggestion would be to have him do your initial price quote rather than one of the mechanics. He is the man in charge so it just make things smoother if he is aware of the issues up front and throughout the process. I have probably been there about 10-15 times over the years. I have only had one time where I felt like the work was a little off. However, he told me bring it back in and made it right the very next day. His same mechanics have been there for years so that is also a great sign. I will continue to use these guys for sure.
