Benjamin Franklin would be delighted with this lending library!  It has everything you could possibly want--books galore, dvds in abundance, wonderful film-showings, computers as far as the eye can see, and a caring staff of experienced and exceptional persons who stop at nothing to fulfill your requests.

Every time I am there all you can hear is swearing and yelling from the teen room.  The last time I was there a dozen police there because of a fight in the teen room.

The Groton Library is one of the best libraries in the region because of it's activity in the community, and significantly larger catalogue of movies, books, and music than the surrounding towns. 
Due to generous backing, there is a varienty of programs for youth and adult sponsored there.
The complex itself is spacious, and architecturally pleasing. Meeting rooms and children-teen sections are available during the day as well a public computer section and information kiosks.
Useful tip, so long as you have a CT library card you can check out books at any library  (at least in this region).

This is an excellent library.  It is exceptionally large and has a huge collection of older fiction in both books and recorded formats.  There is also a large new materials section.

Very highly recommended!

Great library including staff and resources, but some of the "trash" that comes in and sleeps at computer needs to get cleaned up. At a public library, individuals should learn to shower before going in public. Normally I wouldn't say it's a venue's responsibility , but when it's a Public library and individuals are forced to sit in very close proximity.......it changes things dramatically!!!
