The food was good. Enjoyed the wings and sirloin tips a lot. Both were very good. Not a big fan of the onion rings or the cheese curds. The onion rigs were 90 percent coating and over cooked. Cheese curds were just "blah". Service was OK. Saw our waitress at the beginning and the end. No check in but not a deal breaker. We would go back again.
I loved how attentive our waitress was regardless of how busy they were. The kitchen got busy and we had to wait a little bit longer for our dessert and I offered to pay while we wait for our dessert but our waitress insisted I get my dessert before I paid, to ensure I got what I ordered. As soon as my dessert got to the table, she took my payment right away so we wouldn't have to wait once we're done with dessert. 10/10. Not to mention, I really enjoyed seeing the staff in the suit managers/higher ups help out too. Team effort! Picture- Deep fried oreo in pancake batter with a side of ice cream, brulee bites, & tenderloin de Veau with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus.
When we stop the dining room was closed due to lack of staff but you can eat in the bar or out on the patio. We chose the patio next to the river. Great views. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. Our food was good and plentiful. We would eat here again.
Be warned, the chicken tenders you just ordered do not come with any sauce and a 3oz cup of not even homemade ranch is 3 freaking dollars. The shakes are mostly ice and lack flavor. 16oz for $5. The food quality is eh. Won't be eating here in the future.
Food was lacking and not cooked well. Definitely should have been better for price. The first serverartender was amazing and helpful. Second serverartender was good too. Did have to wait at least a half hour to get our ticket though. We were expecting much more from the Ground Round and hoped for a better experience.
Stopped in for a drink since we were staying at the Hotel. It was late on a Wednesday night. Bartender stop by to get our drink orders. Fun place to watch a game & have drinks with friends.Service: 4/5
Although we did not eat a formal meal, since we were at a private party in the bar, the entrees that were prepared were excellent. The bartending staff were prompt and capable. Having an event at a location like this, with the million dollar view for it's patrons was a good decision. Kudos to all involved
Ended up here with no wait on a Friday night because the place we intended to go had a 1.5 hour wait. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away at a window overlooking the river. The staff was pleasant and attentive to our needs. We had a parry of 5 and all of our dishes were delicious. Most notably the restaurant week specials and the baked Mac n cheese. Will definitely be back.
We went here with family for dinner, as we were staying at the hotel. We all got a fish fry - the options were perch and pollock. The pollock was delicious, but the perch was so dry and thickly breaded. We also were charged $2 for each of our tartar sauces with our fish. I've never experienced a place that charged $2 for a small ramekin of tartar sauce.
I went to Ground Round for my birthday dinner and it was not the experience I expected at all. It was a group of 21 of us and most of us servers ourselves. We are understanding and patient knowing a big party can be difficult on a Friday night. However, we had a 17 year old server worker our party and she couldn’t serve us our drinks because they were alcoholic and obviously she is unable to serve them. It took 30 minutes to get our drinks and we ended up going to the bar to get drinks since it took so long. Then we finally had our food order taken and during this whole process our server was rude and made faces and sighed super loud whenever we asked for something. I do not blame her, I blame the restaurant for giving her a party she was so clearly not ready for. When our food came out we knew it was sitting for wayyyyyy too long. The food was mediocre at best. To top the night off she never asked us if we wanted more drinks so we had to keep going up to the bar. My whole group and I will not be back.
