Established in 2009, Guadalajara serves fresh, authentic
Mexican eats in a fun, relaxing atmosphere. When taco
and margarita cravings hit, we’ll always have your fix,

Waitresses flirt with me while ignoring the female guests. To highly priced for so called Mexican food. Most every thing I've had from there taste like it came from a can or jar. It's not made like real Mexicans would cook. And the budget gas old good that's reheated. NASTY. And the floors are always dirty half the time they need to wipe down our table as we sit down.

If i could give this place 0 stars i would. Ive never seen a more surly and unfriendly staff in my entire life. The disgusting pettiness of being charged for lemons is almost equal to the disgusting buggy bathrooms. Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS. Ive never been treated worse by a staff. And the food...well its best not to mention things that cant be helped, however but stale is an understatement. This is the worst dining experience Ive ever endured.

Fresh local produce and ingredients, seasoned to delight the palate and large portions. I always carry out half of my meal. Excellent.

Seriously the worst service ever. Didn't get order taken, including drinks for 10 min. Our food didn't come for 70 minutes! They forgot the simple order of a taco for my sister & she didn't get it until everyone was done eating even after telling 3 different people about it. Our bill was completely wrong. We realized it, but after sending the bill to be corrected once, it still was wrong. This time, overcharged by $10-15 . Save yourself the time & $. There are plenty of other mexican restaurants in muscatine much better than this one. Ugh.

I've read the other reviews on here and a few months ago I may have agreed. However, I was here just a couple of days ago and I had fantastic service. I was with a friend from out of town, and our order was taken quickly and served quickly. We got more salsa and chips when needed, and the chips were hot. Our food arrived fast and our server was attentive. It seemed like he was being trained. The food was excellent, actually I was impressed because I'd been there before when it wasn't. Their refried beans were good, but they need to figure out what El Olmito's does for theirs (and give me the recipe, heh). All in all, I believe they took their criticisms to heart and got some new staff and upped their food quality, much like any successful business should. I wouldn't count them out and I would definitely give them a second try.
