The Guild is absolutely fantastic! Since they changed to the guild tavern the prices dropped dramatically and my God is the food absolutely amazing. I'm usually not too blown away by food and especially every dish I try but they have stepped up their game to the max! The BBQ for 2 was world class perfection, the wings were absolutely perfect smoked goodness, steak cooked and presented perfect. Down to every small detail the bread, service you name it they nailed it. I highly suggest you try the Mai Thai it's unreal. I'm so happy inhale a new spot to go to. Well done Guild TAVERN!

I feel like this place has really deteriorated in quality. The service was pretty lackluster, bordering on reluctant. I ordered a filet rare, and got a sad piece of meat cooked to a bland, dry medium. No tiny bits of char to demonstrate that the steak had enjoyed a brief but productive laison with a hot flame. No pink. No juice. Just a uniform, grainy tan. Not what I expected from a fifty dollar steak. The only other item competing for attention on the plate was a pile of cold, grey, rather slimy onions which hadn't been caramelized so much as briefly tortured with warm canola oil, then released on good behavior. My wife ordered a veggie burger, which we went to elaborate pains to make sure would be dairy free. After waiting a solid half hour for our food, hers came smothered in cheese. After a tepid apology and another long wait, she got a replacement burger that was visibly burned and tasted mainly of carbon. Odd that after waiting a long time the meal should arrive having obviously been prepared in a big hurry. It may be that Guild Tavern has relaxed in the pursuit of excellence, and is now relying on reputation alone.

Pleasant mix of small town/big city steak tavern with averagely good eats. Things are done well but not great. Service is attentive and extremely focused with a hint of not quite prime time. All of this together still gave us a welcoming and pleasant evening.

Food is great, staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We go every year for my son's birthday and always have a great meal
