The food lived up to the hype. I've had lots of fried chicken from all over the world and Gus's goes straight to the top. The thin layer of batter hits you with flavor and texture that's out of this world. The sides definitely complete the meal. Slaw, potato salad, and fried okra all delicious. The food could have came out faster but I guess quality takes time. Service is not the best but it's not fine dining either. I would eat there if there was one closer. 5 stars

It's important to know that I'm not a huge fan of fried chicken. I like it, but it's not in my usual rotation of favorites. I rarely order fried chicken when I go out and I don't cook it at home. Since my trip to Gus's, I can't stop talking about this place and their chicken. I told my mom to plan a trip to Atlanta - she needs to try this chicken. I told a co-worker, who I usually try to avoid talking to, that she needs to take her son out for fried chicken at Gus's. I don't know what they put in that chicken. I can't remember which sides came with the chicken. I just remember the crispy and slightly spicy breading and the juiciest breast meat I have ever bit into. I ate my leftovers for breakfast. I am not ashamed. I can't wait to go back. Maybe I'll pick up something for dinner tonight.

This place will have you on your knees. My go to for my cheat meal. Chicken is hot and fresh, made to order. Seasoned perfectly. Not too salty yet not too bland. The sides are good. Try the Mac n cheese but have them melt the shredded cheese on top.  I would like to see them incorporate a chicken and waffle meal. Wishful thinking.

Huge Disappointment!
I've eaten at the original Gus's in Memphis and that chicken was phenomenal.  This location in Chamblee was awful, unless all Gus's chicken have changed. The wings were tiny little wings, and the portions overall were all small! I'm used to getting big portions from the Memphis location and the chicken was much better as well.  Not impressed with this location and will not return, I paid $50 for 4 three piece chicken meals and it was a tiny amount of food in each tray, not worth it at all.  Thanks but no thanks.

The service was fast and friendly. The food was good but didn’t make a huge impression. The fried pickles and dipping sauce were yummy. But, the table was disappointed with the fries, mac, and okra. More than anything, I feel the menu is a little over priced.
