Everything was great! Food was amazing and our server Aaron was very attentive and ensured we were well taken care of!Food: 5/5
This is a perfect place for a nice date cooking your own meat great Ramen all the food is great here so try it out tou want regret it I might go here this week Kid-friendliness: The kids will love it.
Gyukaku Chicago location, this wasn’t worth over $200 in any circumstance. First of all, all of Gyukaku in JapanLA as well has iPad to order at table but this location didn’t have it so we had to wait for our server to come and get our next meat choices every single time….‍ Whose idea was that to get rid of iPads…?‍ We chose “supreme” AYCE option only for Kalbi Short Ribs and it wasn’t good at all. Plus I had to pay “Park Chicago” app $20 since I was out of town $20 was the lowest to load on the app to park and the parking meter was broken. I love Korean BBQ in general but this location has a lot to improve if they want to be any closer to real Korean BBQ. I was very disappointed.
I love Gyu Kaku! Cocktails are great. My favorites are the beef bibimbap and gyu sushi! Parking: Parking outside some is free, some isn’t.
I think the atmosphere is really cute and clean but the food is so TASTELESS. Tell me why your restaurant has over 1k reviews and your food tastes so bland that it’s actually crazy. After a few pieces of your chicken and steak and it made me want to throw everything I ate and i did by the WAY I just want to know why it taste like lime with chicken. Overall the atmosphere and staff are nice, but they just really need to work on their food.. NEVER COMING BACK
Went here for friend’s birthday lunch. Everything was good. We even got the happy hour special. Four people. Bill was under $200 including tips. Still one of the best Japanese BBQ I been to. Only thing not so good is finding parking sometimes.
First time coming for Japanese BBQ, very different experience from our usual Hot Pot outing. Came during the afternoon so we were able to be seated right away. We did the $48 Premium selection course. Got to pick whichever items we wanted from that portion of the menu. All the meats that we selected were very delicious, especially the spicy pork & shrimp. Favorite vegetable was the garlic mushrooms. I also really liked the fact that we could control the grill temperature at our table. Must places have a pre-set heat so this was really a plus for us. Our waitress was very attentive as well, checking up on us, making sure everything was going okay. Even went & changed our grill plate halfway through once it started getting charred. 100% had an amazing time for our first visit. Will definitely come again in the future.
I was passing by and decided to try Gyy-Kaku Japanese BBQ. I had not made a reservation, but they were able to accommodate me. Thank you . I had fried calamari, fried pork dumplings, grilled some beef and pork belly myself with white rice and Napa Kimchi . Yummy! I won't forget the hot sake Until next time
Omg, the most delicious thing I've had in my mouth in awhile lol. I love the set up and atmosphere. I thought us cooking at the table would throw me off but it was a lovely experience and the meat was delicious. Will definitely be going back.Food: 5/5
The service, the decor, the quality all remind me what I had back in Japan. HOWEVER, there were still some dishes may make you frown. The fried chicken was not juicy as what I expected, the coating was more than actual meat. The sushi... If you don't know how to make one, just don't pretended that you know how to... the rice just fell apart even I picked it up with my hands.... But back to BBQ itself, it's amazing. And the udon, you will be surprise how good that is!
