"Our cocktails always start with the most seasonal, fresh fruits we can find. Our juice is cold pressed daily and we concoct our own orgeat, falernum, allspice and cinnamon syrups by hand to ensure quality & freshness. Our spices, herbs, flowers and sugar are sourced from all over the world, like mint from Colombia, orchids from Hawaii and cane sugar from Martinique. We blend the finest rums and distilled spirits to the exacting requirements of cocktail recipes developed over the years, creating exotic combinations for you to try. We will always try to find the best ways of bringing the island to you."

It’s a really really cute tiki spot and surprisingly really huge when you go inside. I definitely would recommend getting a reservation as this place gets pretty packed and we went on a random Thursday while visiting Chicago. They do have a little small store that only fits like one person inside of it if you wanna buy some thing of merchandise. The drinks were pretty good except for one of them was made a bit too strong on the rum, but other than that it was an overall great experience to enjoy a vibe.
Great atmosphere. The waitstaff was extremely knowledgeable about the cocktails. Drinks and food were delicious. The pu-pu platter was a fun appetizer to share. Music was quiet early in the evening. This would be a great place to start a night out with a wonderful drink. Vegetarian options: Spring rolls were vegetarian friendly as is the pineapple curry
One of the great experiences I had after a long time. Vibe check 10/10. While roaming in Chicago downtown, you can enter to this place and suddenly you feel that you are in Hawaii kinda place. Staff are having great cocktail knowledge. Definitely recommended any day!!Service: 5/5
The music was a bit odd. It's kind of a '70s and '80s disco. Sort of thing. Very strange. But not bad. I've encountered the same weird '80s vibe in restaurants in Reykjavik, Iceland. And I love Reykjavik. So no problems here! The tiki decor is absolutely Top notch. From the time that you enter the alley, to the time that you head down the stairs past the wall of skulls, and enter the dark hallways that lead into a tiki Oasis, the atmosphere is amazing. The food is good, but probably overpriced for the amount of food that you get. The quality however was very good. I did the pulled pork sliders and the crab rangoon, and both were excellent. This is a tiki bar, so the tiki drinks are where it really shines. I started with the signature, Three Dots and a Dash, which was very good. Not amazing, but very good. Later in the evening I realized that they serve so many of them that they actually serve them out of a tap. They are premixed. But the quality does not seem to suffer terribly much. Second cocktail of the night was Tropical Itch. Great cocktail! Finish the evening with a Pearl Diver. I spend a lot of time visiting Tiki bars, and this was easily the best pearl diver I have ever had. Surprisingly, it beat the hell out of the Pearl diver at Latitude 29 in New Orleans. It was thick, buttery, and sweet. Absolutely delicious. If I had to pick a favorite for the evening, I think I would have to go with the tropical itch. Service was outstanding. The bartenders were spot on. The drink. Garnishes were incredible. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Just go! Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible. Located at the bottom of a couple of long narrow dark stairs, in the basement of the building
Three dots in a dash starts outside with the fun and adventure awaiting you inside. As you step in, you're greeted by a place with so many layers - from the mysterious dark corners perfect for hanging out, to the lively bar area buzzing with energy. The drinks? Oh, they're a whole other story – strong, delicious, and perfectly balanced, each sip taking you on a journey. The bartenders know their craft inside out and ready to whip up your new favorite cocktail. And let's not forget the staff – they're like your personal cheerleaders, always there to make sure you're having the best time possible. It's a place where you can kick back, relax, and just soak in the wonderful atmosphere.
Legendary tiki bar with the best cocktails and service! If you love drinks, be sure to visit. My wife and I visited here on a Tuesday night with no reservation and were able to sit at the bar since we came early enough, but about 15 minutes after our arrival the place packed out and there was a line for any seating. So normally you probably would not notice this building since it's tucked into an otherwise unassuming alley behind the fire department. We were following Google maps and walked past the alley before realizing we missed it. Went back and sure enough, "is that a tiki mural?" We knew we had found it! The bouncer was a nice bearded gentleman who briefly looked our IDs over before ushering us into the dark stairwell that descends to the bustling speakeasy. All the tables were taken. I think if you know you want to go and stay for some time, an advance reservation is required. Since we were walk-ins I don't know what that process is like but I assume that if you want a weekend you will want to reserve far in advance. It is that busy. Our bartender, another bearded gentleman with glasses, was very down to earth and made good conversation. You'll be talking over music and the din of the crowd. If loud spaces aren't your thing, then this probably won't be your place. Now the drinks are expensive, but they are some of the best damned tiki drinks that you'll have. I started with the "Three dots and a dash", their signature drink. It's Morse code for victory, which is apt since it's a delicious, complex drink that's a real winner. I really liked the fresh pineapple garnish with 3 cherries the aforementioned "Three dots and a dash". Have a bite of pineapple with each sip. It's got a lot of loud, layered flavors that mingle in a very cheery way, like it's WWII victory namesake. We also tried the "Pearl Diver" & "Trader Vic". The "Pearl Diver" was probably our overall favorite. It's very interesting and tastes in the BEST WAY like a freshly made egg nog. If you've ever had delicious fresh made egg nog, you'll know what I'm talking about. Anyways, it's a super-smooth drink with fruity high notes that, if you're unsure what to get, or ordinarily aren't a big drinker, I would highly recommend. My personal favorite place in Chicago. I'll be visiting again!
Very unique restaurant. A great place for trying new cocktails. They have very creative recipes and their presentation is like art. I don't remember seeing much healthy food on the menu. We had a number of snack like items fried, finger food and Asian style appetizers vs substantial entrees. It's a fun place if your intention is to have drinks. Definitely a unique experience for groups.
Best tiki bar ever! The decor and vibe are perfect. The entrance is in the alley! Every drink but one was amazing. The other drink was just fine. Great presentation of drinks. Really cozy booths. Get reservations ahead of time for both areas. You have to try both since they offer different drink menus.Food: 5/5
This was one of our best experiences in Chicago. Other reviews warned of expensive prices and greasy food. No way!! Delicious cocktails, delicious food and so much of both. The wait staff and bartenders were friendly, helpful and gracious. The prices for food and drink were comparable to any other similar Chicago establishments. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. 5 stars all around!!
This outing was an anniversary date night. The drinks don't disappoint. We ordered the Rum Barrel, delicious. The food comes on small sharable plates and the food is great. Service here is really quick and the atmosphere is very intimate. Drinks run your between $16-$20 Try them out!
