Simply, the best. No other grocery store can compete neither on prices or customer services. I always go there for our grocery shopping and spent an average of $100.00. With the money saved with coupons, sometimes up to $25.00-$30.00 dollars, I buy gasoline at HEB gas station of course. Thank you HEB.

It's the only HEB Plus that's big has a whole selection of shopping from foods, to bakery, fresh and warm food in the restaurant place, all the way to pets, lawn, books, flower shop, baby clothes and adult clothes, to sandals and a pharmacy place. Great food at great prices.

It's HEB, if you don't buy here, then go to any Walmart Supercenter. For special items and more international foods try Gucci B (HEB Del Mar Blvd & McPherson or HEB la carpa at San Dario & Calton Rd.) Sure there are other places and favorites too, but these guys have competitive low prices and they accept coupons. Plus you can use the bank, customer service, beauty salon, etc. depending upon the store. For HEB, bring or purchase your own grocery bags. For Walmart, they've got you covered. Be prepared to wait in line during peak hours of the week. (Hey, being busy is a good thing! It means the current products get bought and then new ones get put on the shelves or in the bins. Less spoiled vegetables and fruits compared to some of the smaller, local, grocery stores.) Although, the small grocery stores serve a purpose too. When purchasing a money order, be prepared to provide them with more personal information. They ask for your ID and SSN. Yes, even if you pay in cash versus a debit card.

Was with my kids at heb and stopped to look at some fat burning pills when heb sends one of their "walkers" to spy me.....dude just stands near a candystand like 10 ft in front of me and doesnt move at all....made me and kids uncomfortable...guy was all obivous what he was doing.....then i walk around a couple of aisles and after like 15 minutes we decide to go and just pay....all of sudden the same guy has a shopping cart full of bulk items...like boxes of cans such...even though he never moved from that spot and was with no one else...next time how about you help a customer out instead of assuming they are up to no good

Mine and my fiancees's favorite HEB to visit in Laredo. Has the largest selection and friendiest staff. You have to keep an eye on the expiration dates of HEB brand foods, however. I discovered this after checking the date on some cream cheese that was months past date.
