What a ripoff. I am in the startup stage of my small business. I paid $544 for my return to be submitted. I showed up with all of my figures presorted and ready to transfer over after looking up what figures would be used. My $544 got me the following: 10 minutes of the "specialist" transferring my numbers over, approximately 45 minutes of sitting there with my toddler, bored out of our minds, while the tax "specialist" struggled to figure out what he did wrong so he could submit my return. I was then asked to leave and come back another day to finish. 4 days later I had to return to spend 5 minutes signing a few pages. If you own a small business, go to the real professionals not these scam artists. There are real specialists out there that will charge you by the hour, not a basic per form total. H&R Block charges outrageous fees to us business owners to cover their costs of "specialists" sitting around for an hour trying to figure out a system they are trained on, as well as the costs of all the free returns they offer. Buyer Beware.

I took my elderly Uncle to have his taxes done. Throughout the time we sat with the senior tax specialist, he was very rude, short with my uncle and not patient at all. Then he wanted him to sign forms without explaining to him what he was signing. I had to ask him to be patient with my uncle and please explain the document before asking him to sign. My uncle is elderly and can get confused at times, but I still feel he deserves to have these things properly explained to him. He also deserves respect. The cost for him to do his taxes was nearly $400. When I asked why it was so much, since I go to EG tax and it's half the price, I wanted to know if my uncle got something extra done. The tax specialist asked me, "why do you choose Wegmans over tops?". And of course I replied because of the quality and customer service. He says, "exactly". I wanted to say, excuse me sir but do you realize you are "Tops" in this situation? Needless to say, won't be returning to H&R. Hopefully the other locations are better than the one on Walden.
