This is a very good park. A lot of open space and plenty of amenities for the public to enjoy. There are a good amount of paved trails, so it's easy to get out and take a walk, bring the kids out for a bike ride or just to sit at one of the many benches to relax. There are two main play areas, which offer play equipment for the kids and resrooms at the one pavilion. The only concern we have had in the past was when a few of the sidewalks were badly broken up and they weren't repaired for several months.

nice large park with plenty of recreational options. The upkeep is generally pretty well done as well. A go to spot of mine in the spring and summer

Halleck Park is a nice venue for walking in Papillion, and sits right next to the Keystone Trail if you want to take your daily walks up a notch from looping around the ponds in the park to extending them on to the trail itself. I would give the park five stars instead of two, but for the major issue of their LACK of ONGOING WATER MAINTENANCE of the pond. The enclosed body of water does not have year-round aeration and circulation, which is mandatory for enclosed water features if they are to be viable ecosystems. The city is throwing away money every time they stock the pond with fish, as the same will not survive in a dead water system. Additionally, the pond serves as an ongoing host to geese and other waterfowl. Judging by the amount of excrement that is left on the cement pathway around the pond, one can assume that the pond water itself is contaminated with the excrement and the vast array of pathogens water fowl inherently carry. The city would best serve the health of those who frequent Halleck Park by investing in, at the very least, a rudimentary eco-filtration and aeration system. Barley balls deployed en masse are an affordable approach to maintaining the bioligical variables necessary to ensure an ongoing beneficial bacterial presence to break down the cumulative waste the waterfowl introduce.

This park is most awesome. Playgrounds, duck and fishing pond, pavilions, by the bike trail, patio fun pled, baseball fields, swimming complex, and more. Best park in Omaha by a long shot1
