A classic old fashioned ice cream shop from an era I've only seen in movies. Delicious ice cream made on site.

We stopped in on our way home from lunch for an ice cream. Rude signs are the first thing to greet you when you walk in. Next comes the dirty smell. Finally, rude service. I placed my order, totalling $15 and paid with a $100. The shop couldn't make change. Rather than apologize or give me directions to the nearest bank, the workers just canceled our order. Another customer made change for me and we were served mediocre ice cream and warm soda in paper cups. Don't waste your time at this place. It's not even nostalgic.

Quite possibly the best ice cream around. Truly a real treat. The mocha chocolate chip is fantastic.

We come from Dennis where we are close to another cape favorite. We like Sunday School, but love the ice cream here. 

The owner is very friendly and the store has a great story. I hope it's around for another 125 years!

On Saturday, July 12 at 3:45 p.m. my husband and I entered the store and the girl behind the counter was busy, but she completely ignored us for a full five minutes. No hello, no 'be right with you...' no acknowledgment at all. We walked out.
Potential patrons also need to know that you are not allowed to use their restroom. As a former restaurant owner, I would never deprive paying customers of the restroom facilities.
Another strike against Hallet's. They certainly lost my business.
