Story

HRO is a family owned business with 14 sales locations throughout the United States which include a formidable presence on the Internet, making it the Largest Ham Radio dealership in the world.

With Worldwide distribution, HRO is geared to fill the needs of hams everywhere, whether online on the World Wide Web, over the telephone, or in person in one of our stores, including our great location in Burbank, California. Customer service is one of our primary goals. We employ active hams with varied backgrounds and expertise to be able to assist in any area of the hobby.

The staff is mostly dismissive at all HROs. Most of them are cranky jerks who don't have any customer service skills and act like typical Elmers. I'm sticking with buying things online just to avoid the ilk of HRO staff and customers. It's a new age and your owner needs to hire staff who understand business, service and who know enough to not be crabby a-holes. Too bad...I spend quite a bit monthly on gear and your company isn't getting any of my money until your business model and service standards improve enormously!

A full service Amateur radio retailer, carrying a full line of all the major manufacturer lines of amatrur radio equipment. they are staffed by licensed and experienced amateur radio operators. they stock and sell all lines of Alinco, kenwood, Yaesu, Icom, Bearcat, Diamond antennas, MFJ equipment, comet antennas, a full line of consumer to commercial level radio scanners and receivers. HRO, is the largest amateur radio dealer in the country, having stores all around the USA. Most radios in stock, have samples set up on an operating bench so you can try and use before buying. If there is an amateur radio made, they sell it, excepting manufactures that don't allow retail sales of their equipment. the staff is very helpful, and very knowledgeable about all of the products and amateur radio. parking is on street in front of store, look for large white sign, and black lettered sign, on side of building. adjacent to a gun store.
