Hammer is a family-owned business serving MD, DC, and VA with over 30 years of kitchen and bath design and build experience. With every project and relationship, we look to make a positive impact on our community through our staff, craftsmen, and you -- our customer. We offer architectural and design services, including a dedicated personal designer from project start to finish. Also through the use of cutting-edge project management tools, we are able to keep our clients in the project driver's seat throughout the process.

Services provided include: kitchen and bath, whole house remodeling, additions, architectural services, interior design, kitchen and bathroom design, remodeling, renovation, outdoor kitchens, and custom cabinetry. Additional service areas include basement finishing, exterior projects, and serving as the general contractor.

Hammer came well recommended to rebuild our large composite deck.  Their early advice to replace the substructure was spot on.  I did the demolition work and saw firsthand the need to start clean.  They supported and added to our design ideas, and the finished product with hidden fasteners and smooth surfaces has a solid feel.  Their craftsmanship and attention to detail came through in each step - not just the visible finish work.  They went the extra mile for a structure that will last a VERY long time.  Their work was clean and easily passed inspections.  We love our new deck!

Hammer Contractors just completed a multi-room renovation for me -- primarily finishing the basement but also redoing the deck and remodeling the laundry room and garage.  First and foremost, the quality of the work produced by each member of the Hammer team was exemplary as well as thoughtful.  Many details and finishing touches were things I never would have thought of, but very much appreciate in the finished work.  From the design of the project to project management to execution of the work, Hammer brought excellence, professionalism and a teamwork approach.  The team was courteous and professional while working in my home and maintained an impeccable work space during the project.  I felt comfortable that I understood all of the aspects of the work -- from permitting issues to design concepts to construction details.  And finally, Greg, Jorge, Andres and their team were unfailingly pleasant, kind, patient and dedicated to completing the project to my satisfaction (and beyond).  I am incredibly happy with my new spaces and have received compliments from everyone who has visited since the work was completed.  THANK YOU, Hammer Contractors!!

Hammer just finished a total kitchen remodel for us. We had hesitated doing anything because we didn't know what we wanted, just what we wanted changed.  Andres and Greg devised a great design with our input, and Jorge and his top-notch crew built it in about a month.  They were hard working and meticulous; kept the space clean during demolition and construction; and worked quickly and efficiently. We recommend them without hesitation.

We recently were looking to build an addition to our single family home to build an in-law suite. After multiple meetings, we decided on Hammer Contractors for this addition. Hammer Contractors were very professional and patient with our multiple questions and needs. Everyone we worked with were friendly, knowledgeable and an expert in the field. We worked with their design specialist to create the best design with the space available. The account/sales manager was very patient and provided all details and help needed on our project. The project manager communicated with us the entire time and ensured the project stayed on track as best as possible. The craftsmanship was top notch and everything was done as described in our plan. We finished the project and our in-laws have moved in and started using the space with great happiness. For our next project, we will only need to call one company, Hammer Contractors for any and all needs with our home.

Hammer contractors just finished two projects at our home – a new deck and kitchen update project (new kitchen island, molding on existing cabinets).  We couldn’t be more satisfied with our experience.  Their professionalism, know-how, communication, and technology are second to none.  They truly did go the extra mile in completing our projects, doing whatever they could to make sure we were completely satisfied.  We completed a number of projects on our home improvement list this time around, but will certainly be coming back to Hammer when we’re ready for our next project.
