This place is great if you have any kind of livestock. They also sell dog and cat supplies, but I’ve seen goats, chickens, ducks and other convenient farm stock supplies. Knowledgeable management too!

I don't know how anyone gives this place more then 2stars. Let me be clear. The staff is friendly and I like the owner. The problem is that they never carry product. I'm serious. Every time I call or go by to get something, they either are out of stock or don't carry it anymore. It got so bad to where they didn't carry Victor dog food for a month, and the owner would still ware his Victor polo shirt but not carry it. Come on now! My dogs need to eat and can't keep changing foods. The only thing He said was there was a problem with the distributor. Ponchatoula, Albany, Robert, Madisonville, or tractor supply still carried. From a business prospective in sales they need to get it together. Even grass seeds, "we are out" certain size dog collar "we are currently out until next week" It was just frustrating. I had to go to ponchatoula instead. Ponchatoula never has problems. The store looks better, they have more variety, and a friendly staff. It's unfortunate, but it's not my fault. A+ for Ponchatoula feed and seed.... Come on now Hammond...

Great, local, small business with a great variety, from inexpensive to organic livestock feeds available with helpful, good people. Also, good quality pet foods. Hay square bale only $6.50. Good seed selection for pasture/forage, cover cropping,. During growing season has good selection of plants- veggie,ornamental, fruit & other trees. Of course, poultry, rabbits, etc, etc. Even, various pet birds...saw gorgeous parrot last visit. Sometimes fresh yard eggs available.

They keep dead chicks in cage with living ones and the living ones look near death! This place is sick and twisted I'm getting the humane society to check it out, that is unacceptable.
