I have a small ticket from 2021 that I’ve been trying to take care of. This is the most incompetent court I’ve EVER dealt with. I don’t live nearby, and have sent certified mail, regular mail, MULTIPLE phone calls to try to take care of it. None of which letters have been received, so they say. Even though sent via different mailing services. Either no one answers the phone- or the one single person who can help me apparently, “isn’t in today”. If I end up with a suspended license, I have documentation of all of my attempts. So. Frustrating. Also spoke with someone in that jurisdiction employee, but I won’t say names that said they get nothing but complaints for this specific court. Spoke with someone else in that court today who was so incredibly rude, I honestly couldn’t believe it. **Edit: when I called today and said I’d be in the area, so I could stop by and take care of it, I was told “No, because the only person who can take care of it isn’t here. So even if you showed up to the court, no one will take care of your ticket.”
Tried to call the court to speak to someone about a ticket I have, was meet by a phone prompt system that was structured so that you can't speak a human being. I expected this but the prompts were very vague and gave no help on trying to solve my issue.... Finally found a line for someone to call and speak to and immediately went to voicemail and have not received a return call for an extended period of time. Shame on the town and the people here who "serve" it. So within a few hours of posting this review I was sent this from the listed phone number that has prompts for leaving leaving a voicemail for a return call. They would not return my calls after immediately calling back. Truly sickened by your lack of professionalism and care for your community.
Turns out I wasn’t educated enough to know I hadn’t taken Care of a suspension completely but only paying 70$ to lift a suspension. I’ve been issues a court date for the summons issues in 2015 . Anxious to take care of this once an for all. Update. 5/13/2024 Problem solved and court was fair.
Showed up for a small claims case only to find it that it was rescheduled for a later date without receiving any notice. The case was rescheduled on a day that I had travel plans, of which I requested to adjourn the case and was assured that I didn’t need to adjourn the case as the judge allows 1 absences. I then received a letter in the mail with the judge’s decision. This is ridiculous.
Operator on the phone when i called was super rude and short. I didnt even finish my sentence and they hung up
You’re more likely to get struck by lightning then to get on the phone with someone at this court. Their police department loves to hand out tickets for every single thing they can think of, but the court system has no desire to provide any help or clarification through the process of trying to answer to those tickets. When you are finally able to make it in there IN PERSON, everyone seems more clueless than you are.
It's really incredible. I am looking for all the ways to be able to have an answer from a ticket that was placed by an officer. They don't answer phones, you can't do it online either. I really don't understand this system.
Called a million times to pay for my ticket but they didn’t want to answer so I had to drive 6 hours from Detroit MI to pay $100 parking ticket. Spent more on rental and gas and hotel then the actual ticket smh
You're not allowed to bring your phone into the building, even if it's off. But if you get dropped off at the building and have a ride scheduled there's no way to confirm for the ride to pick you up. The operators never answer the phone I had to call back 5 times after being repeatedly disconnected and still never got a person so even if you are supposed to pick someone up you can't reach them. One of the clerk's voice-mails say they won't answer any calls until the 6th. We'll guess what? It's the 6th and they still aren't answering.
The court looks clean and has a beautiful mural. Also the chairs in the courtroom are comfortable. The staff were not rude to me or showed any arrogance. Rather they are very serious about their job and I respect that. The staff gave me clear instructions of where to go and I just had to wait for the judge. The only problem that I had was the people around me. Speaking loud enough I could barely hear what the judge was saying. As if any one listening is going to help get rid of their ticket. The only one who can help you is either a lawyer or the judge's mercy. Yeah, the ticket prices are high but maybe it's a good idea not to do what got you here in the first place? I've come to the conclusion that this type of experiences are not like going to a restaurant. Law Enforcement Officers enforce the laws that are broken. It doesn't matter if you got a ticket for an inspection, speeding 10 miles over the limit or if you murdered someone. We're bound to end up in this place one day due to our own actions. Take responsibility for your own actions.
