Amazing family owned place, good for dining in with the family or even friends. Maybe it be a date place. All I know service was excellent and the owner was so nice. I will definitely go there again and again. One of my top choices in Hayward to eat.

3:30 pm in the afternoon and most Asian restaurants are closed until 5 pm.  NOT this great little place.  Authentic Korean, great tasting dishes made by real Koreans (If you eat at a lot of restaurants like me, you know that the taste will vary a little if another ethnicity tries to cook the same dishes.)
Pros: Open even in mid day; lots of authentic and hard to find Korean dishes on the menu (going back soon to try the other dishes); roomy dining room, and clean; employees speak Korean and English very well; service was great (even though we were one of two customers in there, she frequently came around to check on us, and kept filling our water.
Cons: It's on a busy street (Mission Blvd) and parking is very limited; prices are a bit above average, but the great taste makes up for it;  it wasn't as spicy as I wanted it, but it was the first time, and may have had to ask for 'spicyyyyyy' to get it. The Chapjae was fantastic, however it was just a tad bit salty.
Overall, I recommend you give this little hidden gem a try.

Although it’s very u assuming from outside, I 
love to go to this authentic Korean bbq restaurant. Helen is the most delightful and courteous server/owner! Since we didn’t know how to properly bbq, it’s wonderful to have her kitchen doing for us for the spicy pork, tender beef and rib. Nowadays, my son in law has been in charge of this process. LOL! I also enjoy immensely of their little many dishes. Spicy Tofu oyster soup is heavenly delectable. Thumbs up for this excellent restaurant!

Love it! I had only eaten Korean bbq at this place before recently. So I had nothing to compare it to. After eating at another Korean bbq spot, i love Han Yang even more! This place is the best!
