Rustic old lodge in the middle of nowhere, perfect! Fireplaces, wood stoves, lovely deck to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and very friendly staff. Yes, the rooms could use a bit of a facelift however don't let that deter you- if it's peace and quiet you are after, Hannagan Meadow Lodge is a unique experience and we will definitely be back.

Quiet, Cozy and Quaint cabin. The staff is very friendly! You can see & hear wildlife. Good prices. Perfect getaway for the whole family or a romantic getaway for you and that special someone.

I love this place . It is so beautiful, tons of wildlife.  Good food from the the restaurant in the lodge . The rooms are nice, but the  cabins are especially nice!

This is an absolutely amazing lodge in a magical location. Even though you're miles away from any town, you are not roughing it at this lodge. The rooms are clean; everything is nice, and food at the restaurant is impossibly fresh, especially given the remote location. I can't put into words how charming, rustic, and perfect this place is. Driversby enjoy a mere 30 seconds of the most beautiful meadow in all of Arizona, while you soak it in slowly, at a pace only known in times past. I was in awe, wondering what 16th Century conquistador Coronado felt as he explored these then-uncharted regions nearly 500 years ago. Hannagan Meadow is Arizona's best kept secret. For a Valley resident, there's never a convenient time to travel down the 191, which means now is as good a time as ever. Do this trip and you will forever reminisce about the majesty and mystery of the area. While you're at it, stay at this--the lodge about which I rave.

I am now and have always been an early riser. I go to bed at 9, I wake up between 4 and 5. I go to bed at 11, I wake up between 4 and 5.  Everyone here at Hannagan Meadow wakes up about 7:30. Dining room isn't even open until 8. The food is mediocre at best. Not much effort put into suppling their guests with local info. You are pretty much on your own. The rooms are also mediocre with carpet from the 80's and not very well kept. They use tons of air freaheners so when you walk into the room it is overwhelming. It is kind of sad because it has the potential to be a world class lodge. Over all I enjoyed the trip but mostly because we drove the beautiful forrest roads and it was a great time with my husband. But I would not make another stay at Hannagan Meadow Lodge. And I would not reccommend it to a friend who enjoyed watching wildlife. The manager has two big malamute dogs that she turns out to run at night and they chase all the deer and elk out of the meadow so no early morning deer or elk watching. And yes I actually witnessed this with my own eyes and brought it to her attention. The second night at midnight we were awakened with dogs barking and her yelling at them. Lucy had been after a skunk and got sprayed.  Looks like we will be buying a travel trailer real soon.
