Happy Duo is such a perfect name for this cafe. Rylee took my order and recommended a sausage breakfast sandwich, which was much bigger than I expected, and the flavor was great. I tried a summer special made by Natalie, and I loved the rose flavor that was added to the drink.  I was chit chatting with a friend, so I also ordered a molasses cookie and lavender chai latte. Again, it was another great choice because the cookie was so soft and full of flavor, and the lavender chai latte was delicious.

Not only is the the coffee good but the latte art is amazing. Great food and pastries! A great place to bring the Lady on a nice date, I’d pick this place over many around the Pierce county area. Definitely try their egg and bacon sandwich! Yum   Kid-friendliness: Books and toys

Our first time in. You know how you can sometimes get an instant calm, positive vibe about a place as soon as you walk through the door? Happy Duo Cafe envelopes you like a warm wrap. Friendly staff, all smiles, and quick service. We only had one sweet, and it was great. This is a great meet up place, and also just to sit by yourself and sip and gaze out the window. Check them out. We’ll be back!

This is the sweetest coffee shop.  It is perfect for a coffee with a good book, or a small get together.  The drinks are so yummy, and the baristas are the best.  Thank you to Happy Duo for a relaxing, safe, friendly and delicious coffee shop experience.  Vegetarian options: Vegan rasberry oat scone.

Love this place! The waitress was super nice and considerate while serving me. You've got to try their Macha coffee and cinnamon rolls. And the owner has certainly put his heart into what he does. This place is clean and warmly decorated with real plants. There said to be live music during happy hours. Gonna give it a try next time.Food: 5/5

Happy Duo is a great little spot with good vibes. I’ve seen several businesses come and go in this spot and I’m happy to see them doing well. The owner is very kind and friendly and makes an excellent Cortado! Their prices are a little higher than other places, but I have to assume the rent is quite high for this location as so many other businesses haven’t made it.  Quiet, calm space with lots of tables and seating. Interior is decorated well without being busy.

I went out with a girlfriend for a coffee date. We decided to switch it up and go to Cafe Duo!  I ordered a white chocolate mocha and it tasted like a caramel drink and even had syrup on the inside of the cup. The barista insisted it was correct and wouldn’t make a new one unless I paid full price again. I’m sad because it’s a super cute place and I remembered liking their coffee before. We ended up just leaving and going to Starbucks and enjoyed our coffee date there.

Excellent little coffee shop right in UP! The baked goods are always delicious. The staff are friendly and great at making drinks. It can get a little crowded after the church groups show up on Sunday, but most days it’s very comfortable.

Great spot in UP.  They have excellent coffee currently from Olympia Coffee.  Pastries and bites from Macrina bakery amongst others.  Gluten free and Vegan options.  They have an excellent seating area and free access to Wi-Fi.Food: 5/5

This cafe is awesome, not only have great drinks and bakery, but also offers a wonderful environment to meet with people or study. The owner is super nice. Definitely will be back when I’m in the area.
