Loved Harborside Hotel!! Outside appearance great- beautiful landscaping, walking into lobby, staff very warm friendly, & accommodating !! The location was great!! We walked everywhere, never had to move the car. We took Lighthouse Boat Tour & trolley ride to Cadillac Mountain. Our room was very nice & had a beautiful Harbor view. We have already recommended Harborside to friends & we will definitely be back!

This was an incredibly disappointing experience. We found spiders in our room as well as webs in the lamp shades and the corners of the room. We immediately notified the front desk about this. The people at the desk were apologetic and professional, and they did try to move us to another room, but the hotel was booked. Still, the fact is that we had a spider problem and what looked to be a roach. Although we got rid of the first set of of spiders the first day, we found even more of them whenever we returned to the room. Spiders were on the walls, on the front door, and near vents. Even after we notified housekeeping, housekeeping never took care of it. We ended up leaving the hotel early because the number of spiders was stressful to deal with. We were extremely disappointed that such a well rated and beautiful hotel would have these issues. I hope that this hotel will address this problem quickly.

The Harborside Hotel is a classy hotel in the center of Bar Harbor within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. The first night, the sheets were noted to have black marker in a few spots and the next day housekeeping did not provide new towels or toilet paper during their cleaning. My card was authorized on a Tuesday and I didn't checkout until Friday, which was frustrating. The fling package included a 4th night free and free breakfast for 2 adults everyday. The breakfast was on time every day and it was very good. The pool, hot tub and laundry room were also nice to use. The bathroom had a beautiful stand in shower. The view of the parking lot was kind of a bummer since I upgraded to a premium island view. I would stay at this hotel again because of the location and the class. Hotel is beautiful and location could not be better Everything is super clean and well maintained. Rooms are huge and have an old world charm. Definitely not a cookie cutter type hotel. I would have given 5 stars but wait staff at night was bordering on incompetent. I waited several minutes to be seated as 4 young ladies literally ignored us. The bartender was a one man show doing everything while the same group just stood watching. Lastly having the bartender handle cash then the fruit going into drinks is a little disturbing Overall GREAT hotel and hopefully the staff gets trained once the tourist season is in full bloom

Loved the facility. It has great gyms, friendly staff, clean rooms, and even a complimentary laundry. I would absolutely stay here again. It is centrally located for walking to restaurants, bars, etc.
