Second summer here - great place for families. Cottages are very well kept and maintained. Within walking distance of restaurants, pizza, ice cream, general store, book store and even a wine & cheese shop. Great shoreline across the road to explore with your kids, and you can't beat the view. Has one of the best kept pool areas I've seen. Acadia's visitor center is less than five minutes away. Best place we've found for a family vacation.

Stayed in the motel section and loved it. The room we booked had a nice king size bed. The room had plenty of room to relax. It had a mini fridge and a microwave included. The room was very cozy and gave you that cottage/cabin feel. It's located just far enough away from downtown bar harbor that you don't have to be annoyed with the sounds of people at all hours. The staff was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. If you want a great deal for a great place to stay then look no further.

So happy to pull up to this motel on my anniversary only to discover I have to take an 18 minute detour because of road construction. While there is nothing they can do about construction, this should have been disclosed to me when I called to make the reservation so that I was aware of this major inconvenience. My fault for not being suspicious when the gentleman who took my card over the phone told me 3 times that my 1 night deposit was nonrefundable. To make matters worse, when we finally got to the desk clerk she had ZERO sympathy or understanding. She flat out told us "well there's nothing I can do about the state construction" and "you must have got the wrong way on a the detour because it's only 5 miles" (thank you I can read bright orange signs and 5 miles can easily take 20+ minutes with traffic around here) she was then very quick to remind me of the non-refundable fee that I had already paid and point blank said "are you staying here or not" This place has questionable ethics, a bad attitude toward their very few customers, and the bath tub has bugs and mold in it. Save your money and stay far away. **2 hours in, there are mice running through the walls**

Very friendly and good receptionist (Ms.Choice) very respectful and helpful. The room and rest room are good for motel as well as cottage. It has a nice view with sea shore and awesome sun raise. It's not sophisticated as such but good for a hill station stay

You get what you pay for.. we stayed in the Motel. . Rm 70 right at the road. The view was excellent. Big window facing the cove..however... due to the construction, there were trucks and heavy machinery in front on the window for the 2 days we were there. To make matters worst, they would park the back-hoe in front of the window for each night?? The room was a nice size but very date and extremely musty. Allergies went crazy. Also found a couple of bed bugs the morning we left. Access to the beach was very difficult due to construction. Detour was REDICULOUS!! (11 days ago)
