Slow and sloppy work. In 2017 HGR agreed to draft a document for me relating to closing an estate and said it was a simple piece of work that wouldn't take long. Despite my calling several times to remind them about the work, three months went by before a first draft was given me. It was so poorly written and incomplete that a major rewrite was needed. A few weeks later I received a second draft that contained basic grammar mistakes, misspelled words, etc. Two weeks later I received a third draft, which still had not corrected mistakes I had pointed out before. A fourth draft finally arrived which was satisfactory. So a "simple piece of work" took four months, four drafts, and much badgering. I then received a billing invoice that was incorrect. I pointed out the mistake and was assured it would be corrected and returned to me. Nothing happened for two months. I then called up and said the estate was about to close and unless they wanted the work to be "pro bono" they had better send me an invoice soon. I received one by email later that day. That was the only time I got a quick response from this law firm!
