Story

Hartgers Jewelers has roots that trace back to Amsterdam, Holland, where Herman Hartgers began his professional career in 1880 as a diamond setter. After immigration in 1888, Hartgers Jewelers was established on Canal Street in New York City. Eventually, the business moved to an elagant, renovated farmouse in Wyckoff, NJ. Over time, Robert Hartgers, Sr. along with his four sons: Jack, David, Robert Jr. and Gregg, built Hartgers Jewelers into one of the finest jewelry business in the Tri-State area.

If you are a watch enthusiast, they also carry a large selection of watches for both male and female watch collectors. Hartgers Jewelers is the only place I'd go for any jewelry needs. From the biggest purchase of your life (engagement ring!) to a Mother's Day gift to simple watch battery replacement, they have it all for every budget. The family business is best in class customer service and truly go above & beyond to ensure your experience with them is absolutely perfect. Cannot recommend Hartgers enough for all your jewelry needs!

If you're looking to make a watch, jewelry, or diamond purchase, Hartgers is honestly the only store to go to! The quality of customer service at this family run, five generation store is unparalleled. Everything from engagement ring shopping to watch repairs, Hartgers truly makes you feel like a valued, special customer and friend. Wyckoff is very lucky to have had such a special store for so long. We love Hartgers!

Hartgers Jewelers is an experience I would highly recommend. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure you are completely satisfied. You won't find better quality jewelry or a more accommodating staff anywhere in the area.

I had to respond after reading one of the post below regarding the service of a watch not purchased at Hartgers. The watch needed a bracelet resizing and, as the purchase was made on line, I had no place to go. So I looked up local authorized Panerai dealers and up popped Hartgers. One call to confirm and a more than reasonable price quoted to resize ($15), I went to the shop. First, the store is beautiful, with many beautiful items. The treatment was top notch. There was no interrogation about the purchase of my watch. After a quick consult with the rep, it took 15 minutes to resize my watch. In that time I walked the shop and was impressed with their inventory of jewelry and watches and the service I heard them giving to what seemed like repeat customers and new ones alike. Very professional. With the watch work done and done perfectly, I left with a few holiday cookies from a selection that would rival any bakery. Great cookies too. Now that I know about Hartgers, my next jewelry and watch purchase will there. Happy to trade some $ savings to shop local, with confidence and have 5 generations of experience a quick 15 minute drive from home. Thank you Hartgers.
