I came to this guy to reduce the calf on some boots.  He seemed pretty confident about the work he could do, and seemed to have some pride in his work, and the price wasn't too bad either (considering most other places I tried to contact for the job wouldn't even listen to me).  I was a bit disconcerted when he ripped the stitches of the boot with a cheap box cutter, but waved that off as just being economical.  Unfortunately, his stitchwork is absolutely horrendous.  The stitching was irregular in spacing, linearity, and there were many spots where he doubled back inexplicably.  I am contemplating ripping the stitches and resewing it by hand myself.  It boggles my mind how someone so proud in his work could be so careless with some basic stitching.
