Mind blowing. This place is so remote that at night you can see the stars like you have never seen them before! 

To address the complaints, its a remote resort. So yes its not perfect. There are bugs and what not. This isn't a hotel! Our room was not dirty at all. It was a bit older but thats ok. It felt special. Staff was super friendly!

Now as for the "expensive" food people are complaining about. Well you are getting FRESH food. Fresh meat. This is not some frozen food from a semi and what not. The Country Fried Steak  was not like the ones you get at Dennys or Ihop. It was literally a legit fresh piece of meat covered in homemade crumb batter. It was the BEST CFS I have ever had in my life. So the "expensive price" was beyond worth it. Felt like a 5 star meal! Never had such fresh amazing food. 

And at night it feels like something out of a dream when your outside. I've never felt so at peace. Hopefully one day we will be back there on our way to Yellowstone!

Again I point out this is a rugger resort. Its not a modern hotel or luxury suite. If you go there thinking that, you will be disappointed. If you don't like rugged, almost "roughing it" resorts, stay away then.

We stayed at the hatchet resort because it was honestly the only place available under $300 a night in the Jackson area. We had one of their hostel style rooms with a shared bath, needless to say our expectations were not high, but for $200 less than any other room we were trilled. The room turned out to be one of the nicest rooms I have stayed in. Everything was very modern and clean, the bed was fantastic and our shared bathroom never gave us any issues. The staff was also super nice. We did try the grill for breakfast and found it to be pretty good, although the prices were pretty high for what it was. Overall I would stay again in a heart beat!

Great location for Tetons and good value compared to similar places within the area, cabin was immaculate with great facilities and bathroom. Restaurant was reasonably priced and far better than can be got at most places within the parks. Guy on the front desk was very friendly and welcoming

Very nice room.  Clean.  Bed was comfy.  Loved the walk in shower.  Price very reasonable.  Since I am a non-coffee drinker, glad to see hot chocolate available in the room.

We stayed 2 nights in one of their Hostel rooms and had a very nice stay. There were 3 rooms that shared a bathroom but we never had a problem running into anyone. The bathroom and bedroom we're modern and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room had a nice TV with just a few channels, but they were good ones. The staff was very nice, breakfast in the restaurant was delicious and convenient, and the grounds were gorgeous and well kept. While we chose to stay in one of the hotel rooms, there were also other rooms and cabins to rent. The Hatchet Resort is also very convenient to both Grand Teton National Park and the south entrance to Yellowstone. Overall a great place to stay and at a fraction of the cost of anything in Jackson for the weekend.
