I have been to this Casino several times, and other than losing money, all has been well. However, on Saturday October 7th, 2017, my wife and I boarded the "spare" ferry boat across the lake to the Casino. Apparently, the main boat was under repair. We go to the Casino around 10:30 pm, gambled until 1:30 am, and at the point we were ready to head back. An announcement came over the speaker saying that the "spare" boat was having issues and would hopefully be back on track for the 2:30 am pick up. Annoying, but things happen. Anyway, 2:30 am rolls around and sure enough the boat is out of commission. The Casino Manager tells what must be around 40 to 50 guests that the only way home is a 6 person mini van, and one other shuttle van that sits 8 to 10. Here's the problem, it's an hour and a half trip from the casino, around the lake, and back to the drop off point, then the vans have to drive another hour and a half back to the casino to pick up the next load. If you do the math, you could likely be stuck there until 9:00 am or later. They are obviously going to take the elderly and woman and so on first, but this is a real catastrophe. You would hope they would have a bus at the resort for a situation like this, but nope. While several of the very hostile and drunk guests are yelling about compensation, I am only thinking about a bed. I ask the manager if there is a motel / hotel near the resort, nope. So basically, when the boats are down, you're screwed. I begin calling every shuttle, taxi service, and Uber trying to get out of here. I finally got someone on the phone at 2:45 am who was willing to come get us, at a price of $140.00. The situation is dark, but at least I found some light. Now, it is understandable that boats break down, but to have zero contingency plan for this is just boneheaded. A simple flea bag motel could have resolved the problem. Here's the worst part though, as we are sitting outside waiting for the shuttle, we see a man sneak 7 or 8 employees of the Casino out the back, down to the docks, and on to a privately owned pontoon boat, and sail them away. We are standing there in shock. People start yelling and cussing and I thought there might be a riot. It is one thing to have boat trouble with no plan that strands all of your guests, but to have a plan, and it was an obvious plan, to sneak several employees out of there and leave the rest of us to fend for ourselves is borderline criminal. In a situation like this, the staff should be the last to leave. We are the guests, we spend a lot of money there, and we are their responsibility to get back home when we utilize the Casino Ferry. Disaster happens sometimes, but that pontoon boat could have rescued the situation. That boat could hold 10 to 12 people that could be sailed across the lake, return, pick up another batch, and continue. Within 2 hours we all could have been home. I realize that the pontoon boat may have been privately owned, but for a manager to allow her staff to leave in a backdoor manner like that is pathetic. There was a man at the resort who needed his insulin shot, and instead of getting a quick ride on that pontoon boat, he was shuttled an hour and a half around the lake. This is beyond despicable. If I am the manager of that Casino in that situation, I tell my staff to get comfortable, because your'e not leaving until the guests do. Close your eyes and imagine how you would feel and what you would do or say when you see these employees sneak out of there and jump on that boat, while the manager takes almost an hour to invite the guests back inside the casino to warm up. Did I not mention it was pretty chilly that night? Be warned. 9.9 out of 10 times this won't happen, but the time it happens to you, well, I told you so. Stay away. There's the Bluewater in Parker, and several more options in Laughlin that take the same amount of time to get to as the hour and a half trip around the lake. Be warned.

We have been here for a couple weeks now and can't wait to leave. Paid for a month so we have a little while to go. First and foremost, they need a car ferry. I have health problems and can't walk very far so taking the ferry and grabbing a cab every time you need to go someplace can get costly. Especially if you need to go several places while over there. We also couldn't find a post office to receive a part we needed for a repair on our camper. Good thing we have friends across the lake and had it mailed to them. Wish we would have been warned about the construction that starts at 6 am . The casino is a nice size and the restaurant and food isn't bad. Need more activities to stay busy. The price is also $60 higher than the website says. My husband ask why and they said because we have to pay for improvements. If I am paying for improvements I want to be able to use them now while I am here not 2 yrs from now when they will be done because I won't be coming back here to use them.
