One of the friendliest churches in Charlotte and the sermons, music and outreach are first-class.    The Monday Bible studies at Harris Teeter and Whiskey Warehouse are a hoot and there are programs for all ages including the Weekday Preschool with its new toddler-friendly playground.  The Wednesday evening events are a friendly, tasty break to any busy week and Sunday services are upbeat, reverent and inspiring. The sanctuary is simply awesome!  This year's Music Camp had 50+ kids; the summer youth trip was a mission project in Pennsylvania; and the men's softball team won their regular season.  Situated among towering oaks in the Elizabeth neighborhood, everyone has been welcomed at Hawthorne Lane UMC for more than 100 years.

This is the warmest and most welcoming church you will find in Charlotte.  We have a growing revived congregation.  The Pastors are dynamic and the Holy Spirit is present in everything we do.   Come visit us anytime.

Great welcoming people.  The worship service is uplifting, yet changes each week.  There are great small group activities as well.

Amazing worship, friendly people, all age groups, lots of kids, excellent music and preaching...a place to call home and connect with God and those who want to serve.  This is the place to be on Sunday mornings at 11am.
