BEST pharmacy ever! Amy White is the most thorough, conscientious, professional, and caring pharmacist my wife and I have ever had. I have never had to worry about anything "slipping through the cracks". You ask her a question, either she knows the answer or gets back to you as promised, without fail. In other words, she is reliable and dependable, an important quality in any person, but especially for someone with whom you are entrusting your medical care. There is no one better in Winston-Salem!

Very friendly, helpful staff and fast service for your prescription needs.  They're able to fill some types of medications that larger retail stores are unable to order.

I am so glad that I found Hawthorne Pharmacy about 5 years ago. Amy White, the owner and pharmacist, is a life saver -- and a rare find in today's world of chain pharmacies. She actually looks at your prescriptions and might catch a conflict that the doctor missed telling you about. If you need a refill, she will call your doctor and get it -- you won't even know it was needed until you pick up your prescriptions. My medication is an important part of my life -- not something to be handled by overburdened chain store personnel. I am pleased to forgo the "$4 prescription" at the chains in order to have a real person who cares fill my prescriptions. And I have never had to speak to an answering machine when I call there -- OR have to leave a message so the pharmacist can call me back -- Amy or her assistant answer and help you, right then and there!! Try Hawthorne Pharmacy -- you will not be sorry!

Worse Pharmacy ever. The colored lady that greeted me did so with an air of superiority. All I needed was to get my wife's scripts transferred from where I live in Georgia to here. She has been off of them for a week and is in pain. I filled out the paper work she gave me, the colored lady then wrote most of the info I put down but with a red ink pen. When I asked her "just wondering why did you write everything down again that I had already answered" she took the paper off the clipboard kind of threw it at me and abs said "you can leave" I ask "what did I do" she walked away as she told the cop to escort me out of there. I DID NOTHING WRONG TO BE TREATED as a lower life form.
Y'all, if this is how y'all treat prospective clients I'm glad that there are other ones for me to choose from.

This is a locally owned Pharmacy and the Owner/Pharmacist Amy is great!  She is a very good Pharmacist and always takes the time to make sure you understand your medications.  She even came in and opened her Pharmacy on the weekend one time for me in an emergency.  I really like my dollars going to local businesses and not these chain Pharmacies!
