Vintage, modern, and high-end stereo gear in Seattle's Roosevelt district. We sell, refurbish and repair hi-fi systems from all eras and we specialize in turntables. Also, we're really nice people.

Sales: We specialize in vintage, modern, and high-end music systems. New equipment from Naim Audio, Rega Research, Cambridge Audio, ATC, Tannoy, PMC, Kudos, and Harbeth. We sell turntables, CD players, DACs, amplifiers, speakers, and many accessories.

Great store! They have an amazing selection of both new and used gear. It's like an audiophile museum where you get to touch all the exhibits and even take them home if you like. The staff is laid back and not pretentious at all. The only problem is that they're about 70 miles from my house... Could you guys move north a bit? Check out their website for a list of current offerings.

Brought in the turntable for a new needle and belt.  Took care of us quickly and the price was as expected.  Employees were knowledgable and friendly.

Great service and communication, the people I've spoken to were knowledgeable and friendly. They have been helpful for new and used purchases, parts, support, etc. and their rates for service seem very reasonable compared to what I was finding elsewhere. A great place to browse for amazing new gear and really interesting used and vintage stuff.

This place has tons of beautiful record players at varying prices as well as a plethora of other audio equipment. They also specialize in repairing audio equipment.

We have been doing business with these people for over twenty years.  Their pricing is realistic and fair. A person might be able to get more in an online bid. However, if you have a life and don't want to answer the millions of questions high-end buyers have, many of which are irrelevant, this is an easy and feasible to upgrade your equipment. Also, there are so many scammers online, that it is time-consuming and exhausting. Hawthorne carries good inventory, and deals with people who take care of their equipment.  The owner has been in business for a very long time because he knows his business, his customers and so do his employees.  They are the best!
