I love this park. The trails that the park service looks after offer great views of the bay and the the vegetation is allowed the flourish in a natural manner. The park has trash cans at the entrance which some visitors ignore unfortunately. I have encountered a variety of visitors who all want to peacefully enjoy nature. The staff I have encountered are always polite and we are able to communicate little issues that we see to help them out with their work. It's a nice piece of nature that deserves to be looked after.

Great, well-maintained trails. Nice benches to sit at scenic points and watch the waves and clouds go by. I wish the trails were a bit better marked with milage. You can almost always bring a kite to fly because of the regular winds. There is also a lot of wildlife to watch as well. It's a park I'm always happy at.

Beautiful place. But careful where you walk lots of duck poop in some areas. This park is not dog friendly there are signs up saying no dogs. So I don't know why everyone is saying it's a great place for dogs. I hope they clean up after the dog shits.

If you are looking for an alternative to a dog park, this is it. Located at the end of Winton Ave (off I880, take Winton West til it ends), park out side the Park on the gravel area next to the fence. Do not go into the "Park " area (no dogs allowed there) but on the west side fence line there is an opening. Dogs are allowed off leash (please make sure that they are friendly since there are other dogs and people using the area) On the right hand side is a map of the area and a little further are even doggie waste bag for use. It is 1/2 mile to the shoreline and many hiking trails along the way. Place to play fetch in the water (driftwood abounds) and let your dog roam to his/hers hearts content, or take a blanket and soak in the sun.

Great place to walk if you're trying to avoid crowds and just get your exercise in while enjoying the wild life in the area.
