Things are going well for the 2017 School Year. The Principal, Mrs. Merrell is fantastic. I love how she interacts with the student body and makes everyone feel included. The people in the office are kind and caring but are also dedicated to the safety and security of the students. They have a tough job to do and I appreciate how seriously the office staff is about ensuring that each child is where they should be. If there is ever any question about anything, I get a call. If my child has an injury, I get a call. If my child is having a problem or doing an outstanding job, I get a call.Communication is excellent. Teachers send out email notices and the Principal sends out a reliable monthly newsletter. The PTA is a bit unique in that they are mostly interested in money over volunteering but at least they are up front about it. Changes are communicated by phone, text, email, and flyers are sent home with children. With the challenges that today's schools are faced with, they are doing a great job. Most things are very well organized. We are having a positive experience, and so far my child loves Hazel Grove.

I am a recent student from this school and when i was there the school was amazing i loved it there i was so upset that i had to leave i will miss all the teachers very much

So far so Good my child kindergarten teacher is awesome and my daughter is doing well front desk could be rude sometimes. THIS our first year so we will see how it goes I'm watching closely believe that.

The staff doesn't understand the concept of how to reach each child individually they don't feel morally obligated to our children they no not the ministry of teaching they just understand teaching procedures they will soon reap the damage of there actions!!! As a whole

My Father and Mother removed me from this school. There are a few nice teachers like Mrs.Moylan but the meanest and most racist were Mrs.Owen and Mrs.lamasters. Thank the lord that Dr Trastor retired. I loved Hazel Grove but some of the teachers made me want to pull my hair out. also Mrs owen does not know anything about black history she thinks that woman slaves only got their children sold and she told the whole class that her grandpa was a slave owner. Like who does that? She even told my mom that she thought that i had ADD because she was always hurting my feelings along with other kids and i would cry a lot. I would recommend Cedar creek elementary school instead .
