Hebrew Educational Alliance

About

Hebrew Educational Alliance is a synagogue community dedicated to the belief that Jewish tradition has the power to infuse our lives with meaning and purpose.

Story

The Hebrew Educational Alliance — a synagogue community dedicated to the belief that Jewish tradition has the power to infuse our lives with meaning and purpose — is located in southeast Denver, Colorado.

We are a dynamic and diverse synagogue for anyone — maven and seeker, traditionalist and rebel, young and elder. We are a sacred community working to awaken the spirit and change the world.

Though we are one of the largest egalitarian-traditional Conservative Jewish congregations in the region, we pride ourselves on our small congregation warmth. Our congregation is vibrant, active, eager to learn, and truly represents Jewish life in Denver. We seek to provide our members with opportunities for Jewish study, prayer, culture, and acts of kindness in the building of our community. We hope you'll join us at the HEA!

My wife grew up in this Synagogue and we finally moved back to Denver and joined. There are activities for all ages, and lots for families, too! Very engaging clergy with 2 exceedingly intelligent, well-spoken, articulate, excellent rabbis and one amazing, engaging, and lively cantor! Definitely worth checking out!

I grew up at different conservative synagogue in Denver, but when I went "shopping" with my wife as an adult, we fell in love with the Alliance. Canter Marty blows me away week after week, the clergy are wise and accessible, and no one holds it all together like Neil, the Executive Director. We loved it so much we moved into the neighborhood and are now raising our family in the loving arms of the HEA community. Come join us!

I've been at the Alliance for ten years. When I first came here I was just beginning to find my Jewish soul after a lifetime of absence. At the Alliance, I found a place to grow, and learn, around people I consider to be as close to me as family. And, in true irony, I've found that my own tradition that I ignored most of my life, had the answers I was seeking.
