Michele ( with one L) at Hegeman & Co was an absolute pleasure to work with. I put my trust in her and her amazing staff to resize and essentially re-work the entire band of my beautiful, but VERY delicate, brand new engagement ring. She was refreshingly honest from the beginning and extremely knowledgeable of her craft, which made me feel like I was in excellent hands. The original band was only 1mm in thickness. The ring is also extra special because it has my grandmother's diamond in the center. Michele explained to me the importance of making sure the prongs were in the proper places, as the diamond is chipped around the edges from it's old setting. 

I am beyond amazed and grateful for the gorgeous work that was done to make this very special ring more durable. 
If I could give this company ten stars, I would.

Best jeweler in town! Friendly & speedy service. Very happy with mine & my new husbands wedding bands. My family heirloom engagement ring was cleaned, sized, and had new prongs put on; it looks as good as it did in 1945!!

Richard has worked on two very precious projects for me now. One, designing and resetting my engagement diamond. The most recent, he is creating a one of a kind ring with the stones my mother left me when she passed away. Richard is meticulous, creative, and a master at jewelry design and gem setting. He has kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. Even though it is a bit of a haul for me living in Charlestown, RI, I would not trust anyone but Hageman & Co. for ALL my jewelry needs.

I am a college student and the first thing I noticed when I walked into the store is that the owners of the shop are sooooo friendly. They make you feel like you have been a customer for years with them as soon as you walk in the door. They don't judge you based on what they think you can afford like other jewelry stores do, and they are willing to teach you on how to judge a piece of jewelry. I went to have an gold anklet repaired and they did a wonderful job and did it the same day.

Bottom Line:

They have a great collection of unique jewelry pieces making the pieces a more personal gift to your loved one. 

THEY DO ON SITE REPAIR!

and there prices are really fair.

I now know where I will go to buy an engagement ring for whomever it may be in the future.
